The Bush Bar and Grill is the perfect neighborhood bar – it feels like you’re miles away from Shepherds Bush. You can laugh, drink and flirt with an attractive crowd.The VenueBush Bar and Grill is not the easiest venue to find, which partly adds to the allure. It is set in a pretty down-at-heels stretch of Goldhawk Road amidst pawn shops, mini cab offices and kebab places, but once you find the entrance it leads down a little alleyway to a small courtyard and then the cavernous space of the venue. Once inside there is a very long L-shaped bar of polished concrete with bright red leather stools along the length. There is also a row of grey banquettes opposite. The bar is back lit, displaying an impressive selection of liquor. The best bit, is that above the bar and running the length of it, is an angled mirror that means wherever you sit you can check out, and flirt with, just about anyone else in the entire bar.
The AtmosphereIt can be either completely dead or absolutely buzzing at the Bush Bar and Grill. The space is very large and open so when it is empty, it feels very empty and when it is full it gets very noisy. It attracts a professional crowd, well dressed, attractive and enjoying themselves. The bar staff and the manager are great fun and keep the energy and enjoyment of the place up.
The FoodA good mix of Mediterranean options are available and there are bar snacks like high spec baguette sandwiches with lusciously abundant ingredients.
The set lunch menus are good value, and the selection of dishes is fairly mouthwatering too, including Wild Boar Sausages, Mustard Mash and Onion Gravy. Overall, everything looks very nice.
The DrinkThe cocktail list at Bush Bar and Grill is as long as your arm and features all the classics plus a few unusual treats. There are plenty of wines and beer to choose from and the prices are really good.
The Last WordBush Bar and Grill is by far one of the best choices in this stretch of West London. The prices and the selection are really good and cater to a wide audience. Bring some mates and meet some new ones while you are at it.
