£4.50 for a bottle of un-branded warm lager?
The 'DJ' was a CD (on repeat)
The toilets are gross with no locks on the doors and a little beggar outside expecting you to pay for the privilege of standing in piss whilst you releive yourself....
Never again!

Casa Blue is a good bar in Brick Lane, nice staff, cheesy pop and folk music with fun and colorful cocktails ! Casa Blue in one word (ok, maybe five) Bunny With A Gun Fishbowl !! Makes for a good, good night!
The staff is cool and welcoming, and remember you if you come back!!
Week days for a chilled night with good cocktails, weekend for fun, dancing and fishbowls!!
Easy to find...hard to leave!! Go take a look!!

OK, I'll give you a few reasons NOT to visit Casa Blue ever.

1- The place is dirty, dirty. You do not want to look behind the sofas.

2- The drinks are ridiculously overpriced.

3- If you use the toilets, chances to catch some disease are bigger than in a seedy Bangkok brothel. The nastiest toilets in London.

4- There isn't a fire exit. Look for one.

5- Kitchen staff is NOT qualified. They smoke whilst cooking, don't clean the utensils regularly and they don't wash their hands after going to the toilet mentioned above.

6- The kitchen is a dirty, nasty, dark mess of a shit-hole.

7- The food is never fresh.

8- Unfinished drinks are often collected, refilled with ice, tap water and whatever soda it may contains and served to the next customer who orders the same.

9- Crushed ice spilled on the floor behind the bar is collected and served in drinks.

10- Female staff is continuously discriminated.

11- The fellow who sits behind the bar, incidentally is the owner. He treats patrons with no respect at all, encourages his staff to take unfair advantage of customers when they are drunk (i.e. pour less booze at the same price, give the wrong change, etc). Also he is a racist who has an opinion for every race and nationality.

As a bonus, take a look to the pictures hanging on the wall depicting mythological scenes or great warriors. They have the owner's face.

Oh, have I mention I used to WORK at that place?? I resigned out of dignity and respect for the customers.

It is just unbelievable that a place like that goes on without any health and safety inspection.

Please, do yourselves a favour. Do not go in there!

Great spot, super friendly staff, delicious drinks, funky sounds, tasty food and just an overall cool vibe. Wouldnt recommend for fine diners but anyone who enjoys a laid back casual place where conversations of art, music and peace are following then this is the place. Unleash the inner hippie I say!

the prices for drinks are quiet high and the security guard at the entrance was incredibly rude for no reason.
Taking into account that there are so many other nice places around bricklane and shoreditch - I would recomment not wasting your time in here...

Casa Blue.
when entering Casa Blue you're instantly hit with decor that you'd appreciate in Amsterdam after a little substance abuse... however if your not in that altered state of mind you'll quickly see passed the attempt at 'kitsch' with half working fairy lights and only see a mass of smelly rugs and sticky tables.
Food is only average and drinks are overpriced- which could be a positive as you'll want to reduce the need to go to the bathroom for fear of catching an STD from the worst lavatories in London-heaven forbid you slip down the stairs and land in a puddle of urine.... or worse.
The service is good and bad- depending on the who tends to you- the waitresses are lovely however the man sitting at the bar wasn't the nicest of fellows.
It's easy to see the vibe they were going for but you can do bohemian/chilled without being dirty.

Casa blue has become my regular drinking spot after work for a catch up with the girls. The cocktails are great, theres funky music in the background and the incence sticks and candles just add to the laid back appeal. Also great on a friday night for a warm up before heading on to a club. Its a real gem of a place, the staff are so friendly that you actually wonder why the are so friendly. lol. They seat you and then you basically get table service, its fab. Definitely my first stop when visiting brick lane.

Amazing cocktails, great lighting and atmosphere, friendly staff!!Always busy and ideal for cocktails before going clubbing down Bricklane or for a few chilled drinks on a Sunday afternoon.....Beware of old tatty furniture and burning candles but it all adds to the atmosphere!!!Don't eat the pink potato sold out front but food inside is fab!
