Having really liked the Ealing restaurant I was keen to try the Bistro. It did not disappoint. Went for a mid week dinner which was really good. We did end up waiting a bit for a table, we didn't really mind though as the cocktails as the bar were excellent. Barman really knew his stuff and staff were friendly.

Only downside was the portion sizes were a little small for the price, desserts especially.

For a new place trying to make its mark I was expecting more from it. The competition for restaurants in Chiswick is fierce so to become a place to attract repeat business it fell somewhat short. The main issue was the front of house, was poor which and a shame as the lunchtime menu was excellent and we had a terrific waitress. The wine list was slightly expensive. It might have been good but not everyone wants to lash out on a Premier Grand Cru on a Friday Lunchtime (exaggerating to make a point). The old cliche that you don't get a second chance at a first impression springs to mind. Get front of house right and I'm sure the success curve will follow. A easy fix would be to get their website up and running and re-shoot the knife handles!
