We arrived for their lunchtime deal advertised a £6.95 in front but somehow ended up with a service charge which automagically put the total up to £8 and the server had the gumption to keep the change. The food was average at best so if you're planning on eating here, don't go for lunch. They treat you like scum!

Ate here for the first time yesterday and thought it was epic! We ordered about 8 things off the menu between 2 of us and shared! The stand out dish for both of us was the pork belly which was better than I've had anywhere else and considering I've dined in many Michelin stared restaurants that’s quite a statement.

Cicada is a great restaurant and always a delightful experience. It definitely has a trendy vibe but is never too loud, so you can actually hear your conversation. The food is delicious and they have innovative/interesting dishes without being over the top. Great service. Great ambiance for a business lunch or dinner with colleagues or a date or a celebration. Great cocktails too!One recommendation -- they recently did away with the white tablecloths and I do think the restaurant was much nicer when they had them -- please bring them back!!!

I've been to Cicada a couple of times now and loved it both times. I started in the bar last time with couple of wan chai margherita's (crazy combination of watermelon, coriander and typically tequila and lime).
We then took a seat on a booth in the restaurant which was really comfortable and quite charming. The atmosphere is really relaxed although the standard of service is well maintained.
The food- such satisfying dishes that introduced me to flavours I had not tried before. The dim sum you have to be careful not to order too much if you are having mains, as it is very tempting. The black cod, although it's pricey is mouth watering, although my favourite of the night was the beef and asparagus with black pepper sauce.
I think next time I go to Cicada I will take a group of friends, as it seems like an ideal place to do so.
I look forward it!

Cicada is one of my favourite resaturants - the waiters are so friendly, and the food is sublime. My husband and I had a wonderful
£15 set menu that was delicious, and included a glass of wine, really good value. I will recommend highly to all friends and colleagues around Clerkenwell.

My friend & I went to Cicada today for lunch, after finding out that is a sister restaurant to E&O, in Nottinghill.

Luckily for us, they had a £15 - 3 course menu, which was amazing value.

The food was brilliant & waiters were really prompt, as we had to be back to the office in a hurry.

I couldn't fit all the food in, had to miss dessert. I hope this deal lasts, as I will be be back for sure. Julie, Clerkenwell

I used to work in Clerkenwell and never had the pleasure of eating out in Cicada, so I was in for a real treat when an old colleague had a birthday dinner there.

We had a fantastic evening thanks to the restaurant, cocktails, great food and service! Oh and my friends of course!

The dim sum and mains work fantastically and are truly delicious. With staff that make you feel welcome and impress you with their knowledge of the food, it all adds up to a great experience. I just wish I still worked in Clerkenwell!
