Went in here last Friday night. Not too busy, which was nice - Got served straight away and got to sit in very comfy seats. I have to mention the barman on duty, he was very polite, and when my friend knocked over her glass of wine after just a sip he replaced it without any fuss. Only thing I was disappointed with was that they do not make cocktails. But as we were going onto somewhere else after it didn't matter too much.

The Clarence is an acceptable venue for a post-work pint. However, on a couple of occasions we have had a lot of trouble with a angry little blond bar manager's assistant type called Dylan (Dillon?), who appears to have a real temper problem. I know quite a few people who've stopped going there because of him - remarkable that they should still let him work there when he's obviously killing off a fair bit of their business!

THE CLARENCE........a great little pub, great food (consistently) good selection of real ales with 3 guest ales that change each week and 2 popular all time ales 'London pride' and 'Timothy Taylor's landlord' A wide selection of wines red/white plus 6 gins & 7 whisky's along with all the other spirits.
sorry to hear you have had problems in the pub with 'Dylan' he is really a good guy.
