I've spent many pleasant evenings playing pool at the Cock & Lion after work. Generally, I used to go with another girl as both of us are average players who are trying to become good players. The atmosphere at the Cock & Lion used to be tranquil and we rarely had to wait long for a pool table. When our turn came, we were left alone to play our games.
Sadly, this image of what used to be my favourite venue is now shattered as I have discovered that the manager of the Cock & Lion is in my opinion a gutless fool, who chose to side with three, large, drunken bullies who were aggressive towards me when I put my money down to play after them. I was disappointed that the manager was so afraid of the rowdy men that he saw fit to drive away two regular, well spoken female customers, in preference for these barbaric drunks. In conclusion, I want everyone to know that the Cock & Lion is not a place for civilised people, and should be avoided at all costs. I am very disappointed.
