Went there with a large and boisterous group of eleven and found the food well-prepared, tasty and authentic. However, when the bill came it was over £400, or over nearly £40 per person for a one-course meal, with a few bottles of wine and some caiparinhas and nothing else. The actual food itself was I think about £26 for some salad-stuff and some slices of meat, nice though it was. I didn't actually see a menu on the table, but when I went outside I noticed they state the price of about £16, not including the meat, which is pretty unclear. I'm pretty sure too that, after adding a 10% service charge, they then added 20% VAT to the whole amount, which is not legal as far as I know, but that didn't occur to me till later.

Have to reply to this post as it is completely wrong. I am the owner of said restaurant jingo99,we always present menus to customers. Apart from the fact it explains how our concept works, there are other options such as a la carte on offer, plus juices and soft drinks. Now,for vegetarians we offer our unlimited buffet for a price of £16.90(not £16.00),which clearly states that this does not include our selection of meat. Our dinner price is not £26.00 but £22.50. However, for groups of 6 or more people(which you were) there is a 10% service charge added to your bill, which is quite common. Less than 6 people there is absolutely no service charge. Finally can I point out we do not add on an additional 20% vat onto your total bill. That is already calculated into the total amount. We welcome comments in order to improve in this difficult industry, but pleeeaaase be sure of things before posting a review like this as it impacts us in a negative way. Apart from the uncertainty over your bill,i'm glad you enjoyed Comida and hope I havn't offended with this post. M. Shahrabany

Awful - avoid!! Went there for dinner - £26 for some meat and salad cart (similar to pizza hut/harvester) so very overpriced. However, it gets worse - they added on 4 extra drinks to our bill to try and get some more money from us, luckily we noticed. Then when my dad asked whether the tip was included in the bill, they said no, so he put a 10% tip on there - when we consulted the bill further when we got home, the tip was included!! Cheeky buggers - would NEVER go back!

Took my parents there for dinner on a Thursday night. The place was quite quiet but they still brought out a smashing selection of freshly cooked meats including lamb, steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and chicken hearts.

The parents were a bit bemused by a man bringing meat to the table on a skewers but they really loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The salad buffet was good too but not too much distraction from the main event of meat!

Very bad experience with Comida..My wife and I went to this place on a Sunday evening at 6.45 pm. We wanted to have a drink after a long walk. We were seated at the table outside. Few minutes later, the owner came to us and to our shock, she told us that she will not serve us any drinks at dinner time and asked us to leave. She was completely non apologetic. She was the rudest restaurant owners I have ever met. I would avoid this place like the plague.

I went to Comida for a close friends birthday. The staff were friendly and efficient.

The food that was being taken to tables was amazing looking and there was a great atmosphere.

The choice of meat was amazing, I would have liked to have had the choice of a fish alternative also because although not having any special dietry needs I do enjoy a range of food....

Having said this, I think it's great value for money and I will go back there to have a great meal

Stopped off for a coffee between meetings. I know London prices are high but was suprprised to pay £3 for a tiny macchiato.

No menus on tables or at the point where you order and there seems to be a flat rate for all types of coffee.

Otherwise the place was fine.

I've been to Brazil and love that they've brought the concept over,it's a great way to eat.

I'll definitely be going back when my family are visiting. Thanks again to the staff who were all really cool.

Nice place and not too expensive for the area. We went for a Friday lunch and service was fast although the restaurant was quite busy.

The chefs prepare all of the meat on a grill and bring it to the table where they slice it off a skewer right onto your plate, its quite an experience!

The salad bar was nice but was clearly an afterthought to the showpiece which is the meat, steak, lamb, pork and even chicken hearts all made up the non-stop parade of meat brought to our table.

I would also recommend the delicious cocktails - they have a Brazilian spirit a bit like rum which makes a lovely drink, similar to a mojito.

I would add, this is probably not an ideal place to take a date, but its great for big groups of friends and parties.

Very lovely atmosphere and plesant surroundings, the staff are very friendly and polite and make you feel comfortable.

This is a meat buffet restaurant mainly, no fish/ seafood. They have a good selection of salads and brazilian special side dishes.

It has a brazilian feel to it and good music. Lunch buffet is around £16 and dinner buffet around £22, seems abit expsensive but worth the money for what you get.

Excellent service goes hand in hand with their good food.Anastasia & Sandra
