This is an old pub and I don't know how many times I went there. I especially love the Shepherd's pie with drink. The interior is very old and it is always lively with bankers. It seems to be a good old British pub that I always take my colleagues whenever they visit London to have a lunch and they are always amazed by the atmosphere. If your office is in city, definitely worth visiting even at lunch time.

I was there for the first time last Wednesday and was quite impressed, the building (main room) was lovely, the furniture and bar well laid out. There was an excellent selection of beer including my London Pride and Franziskaner HefeWeizen for the German 'white beer' lovers. The Hefe was however off and too warm and fizzy which was a dissapointment, maybe something to do with it being on draft. Also, possibly a lot to do with my hangover the following morning which doesn't normally happen to me with Hefe.

Outside is a couple of sheltered doorways for the rain-dodging smoker and the toilets were in good condition. The staff were friendly and efficient and well managed.

The Counting House is a great place to meet in the very heart of the City. It is spacious, the beer and food are good, and the atmosphere at Counting House is always fantastic.
