Amazing! One of the best nights of my life! You haven't lived until youve been! I genuinely cant wait to go back! x
Delicious cocktails, relaxing atmosphere with live music, friendly and efficient bar staff. We made a reservation prior to trying out this lovely cocktail venue - which was very straightforward and polite. This venue deserves it's 5 star rating.
The Covent Garden Cocktail Club is fast becoming my favourite place to drink in London. It’s a great intimate venue with a brilliant buzzy atmosphere, especially on a Thursday night when there is live music to help you dance the night away. The cocktails are mixed to perfection and taste fantastic each time and the bar staff are fast and efficient so you won’t be waiting ages to sample your next cocktail. However, if you do have to wait a few minutes you will be entertained with their flaring skills and friendly banter, plus they are very easy on the eye!! I definitely recommend a visit!
WOW!!!! I think Ive just found London's biggest secret. I went to the bar for the first time last night and had the time of my life! There was a lady on piano with such talant, bar staff that made us feel so welcome and created drinks that were exceptional. Now Im a member I intend to make my way thru the menu. Thanks guys.
I was recommended this place by a friend who had her birthday party there. She said it was a members only bar so we signed up for the free membership and headed down early to catch the end of Saturday night happy hour.
We felt at home from the moment the door man took our coats and bags to the moment we left.
The place was absolutely packed but the informal yet seamless service made it bearable with relentless banter, bottle throwing and great drinks coming from the bar, great tunes from the dj and a pianist that came on at random throughout the night.
The whole time we were there it felt like we were part of an audience watching a show.
A fun and entertaining night out.
This is a really funky bar in terms of ambience, style (plus the DJ was on fire!) but totally let down by it's bar staff!
I was here last night (14th May) with a big group for a birthday, and immediately noticed something was wrong when I ordered an Asahi and got a Tiger. I was then overcharged for a cocktail, and told first "it's a champagne cocktail" (it wasn't) then "the menu's wrong" before I asked to see the manager, and was promptly handed the right change back. Along with a dose of rotten attitude. Unbelievable.
It basically went downhill from there, with the other lads in our group also having fairly hefty issues on EVERY visit to the bar. The two barmen were overcharging the clientele (to the point where one "forgot" to make the cocktail he had charged the customer for!), and seemed only interested in preening themselves in front of any ladies that happened to be watching and ignoring any guys waiting to be served.
The level of service here was poorer than I can remember experiencing before and it pretty much ruined what otherwise would've been a cracking night. I really hope the owners are reading this and review who works for them in the future!
Another great night at The Covent Garden cocktail club. I have to say these boy's keep getting it right. They get 5 stars from me and that's just for the banter.
This place is awesome! Although quite discreet and hard to find if you have the address its no problem. The staff are amazingly friendly, cocktails taste great (not to mention strong). Recently hosted a group of friends here, the place was really busy, but the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was looked after. Didn't have to wait too long for drinks either. Had great comments from my friends about the venue the following day. Head there early and make the most of the 2-4-1 special. You won't be disappointed!
we had a very bad experience. we came on Friday night after work, i ordered a margarita which came in a small water glass more filled in with ice than any drink! watery and weak... the staff came out of the kitchen with food in their mouth and baremen drinking out of cans behind the bar....I would have hoped that the owners, being experienced and respectable people would have kept a sharper eye on this place! will not go back or recommand it to any of my friends...
Drinks, atmosphere, staff and music here are all spot on well worth a visit however gets a little busy on the weekends but I suppose any where good does.
I called the Covent Garden Cocktail Club yesterday to make a reservation (to take advantage of the View-London deal advertised - being a View-London cardholder), but went through to the answerphone. Despite leaving an answerphone message, I failed to receive a call back.
Not to be discouraged, my friend and I decided to visit the Club last night - only to discover this is a private members' club. We were refused entry point blank, and were not even offered the opportunity to consider membership.
Disappointed by the shabby operation, and unimpressed by the false advertising!
Disappointing - very crowded bar with slow service.
This bar has gone way downhill in the last year. Slow service, the whole place is grubby, and worst of all the cocktails are very hit and miss. Two of the cocktails I had last night tasted off. Used to be a great place - won't be back.
Went for the first time last night. I booked a table for 6 a week in advance. Upon arrival, we were put on a table for 4, because they had other reservations. Barely having taken a sip of our drinks, we were moved again.
I had 2 Bellinis. The first one tasted off, as did my friend's Mojito. The barman inexplicably made the Bellini with different ingredients the 2nd time, but it tasted a bit better. They use very cheap prosecco for their Bellinis, not proper champagne.
It was 2 for 1 but you had to have the same thing for your free one
The bar looked very grubby, not at all how it looks on their website. There is no table service. The toilets are a disgrace - smelly, no soap, mixed men & ladies and an open door, so people can see you washing your hands.
I will not be returning. There are much nicer cocktail bars in London.
As a guy who rarely writes these kind of reviews (who reads them anyway right?) I have to say I have been really very impressed with the London Cocktail Club as a unit. I went down first time about 6 months ago after signing up for membership because my friend told me to, it was quiet sleepy Wednesday evening, drinks were spot on, bartender chat was great, music was cool and my date was impressed. So I booked a Friday birthday for a friend hoping it would be a little busier. It was, and the music turned up the bartenders Andy and Lee didn't miss a beat. I now pop down every couple of weeks (days) now and am always surprised that the busy periods are random, Tuesday last week was full, but I got a drink and sat at the end of the bar drinking away chatting to Andy who was working like a man possessed.
If you make a booking just ask how many others will be there and rest safe in the knowledge that you will have a great night regardless!
Recently I treated my girlfriend to a weekend in London for her birthday. I wanted to make it really special, so I reviewed places to go, and came across The London Cocktail Club webite. I soon realised it was owned by jj who won 'the Restaurant' tv programme! Considering it was only his cocktails that got him to win that programme I decided we must go and try them! Well, we were not at all dissapointed. Andy the bar tender made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in. The atmosphere was great, cocktails so tasty that even I swapped from my usual pint of larger! My girlfriend (the queen of cocktails!) tried a different one each time and loved them all. The prices were also amazing, I expected it to be a lot more expensive than Preston but I was wrong! I would recommend London Cocktail Club to anyone. If you are visiting London, The London Cocktail Club is a must!
I recently had to organise an event for a very important client and his guests 40 in all. He wanted to introduce them to 'the London Vibe'. I was recommended to The London Cocktail Club and got in touch with Lee who sorted the whole evening for us, start to finnish. From the minute we arrived the atmosphere was set. The boys on the bar entertained us, the cocktails and canopies were delicous! Everyone in the bar had such a great night, and Lee had also organized a late licence so we didnt have to move. Ive already booked our Christmas party for work.
i had a booking for 10:30 on a tuesday night and came to fined 3 girls dancing on my table. while the bartender was playing air guitar to summer of 69 on the bar top. i think that sums it up. next time i think we will get there for the happy hour.
I had my 21st birthday there and it was the best night of my life. i was concerned on arriving that the venue is much smaller then i thought. but the lovely lee reassured me that we would have a grate time. and i must say it out did all my expectations by a mile. will defo be back
Excellent party venue, we attended a cocktail masterclass here in the afternoon and we couldn't bring ourselves to leave, we just had to stay for happy hour. Sadly we had to leave at about 8 o'clock but we would have loved to stayed all night.

A little gem! A few of my girlfriends came to London for the night and we came across the London Cocktail Club which turned out to be an amazing night out. I think in London it's so hard to come across somewhere that does top class drinks (which aren't expensive), old school tunes and a lovely vibe. And the best thing is, is that no one really knows it's there. The guy's that work in there we're amazing, so much fun. Towards the end of the night they started flairing and dancing, it really made the night special. I would recommend London Cocktail Club to everyone, I know I'll be back next weekend :-)
Maybe we picked the wrong time to go to the London Cocktail Club - 6pm on a Saturday Afternoon. It was happy hour, and there was no sign of the 'theatre luvvies' or the 'laid back music' advertised in the view london review - just the usual type of '2 for 1' clientelle - coupled up with loud and brash music, that you could hear all the way down the street - and rather weak and disappointing cocktails. Yes the decor is very nice - but that just makes it look like a rather overdressed student bar. Very disappointed.
Be very careful if you set up a tab here.
I was part of a large group celebrating a friends 30th recently. I set up up a tab and must have had a maximum of say 12 bottles of beer all night. I left the venue only to realise a few moments later that I'd left my card behind the bar, as we all have! I returned to the bar to pay off my tab only to find it at £124!
I asked for a copy of my bill and there was £105 'open drink' conveniently added to the tab. The bar tender (who had been great fun all night by the way) made some excuse about tabs left open being added onto mine.
I explained that this was unacceptable and that there was no way I'd drunk this much. It was honestly farcical and the guy behind the bar looked embarrassed.
I've worked in this industry for 15 years and run a successful bar in Marylebone. I understand more than anyone how tab systems work and the 'open drink' facility. This bar quite clearly was trying to exploit the fact that someone had left a tab open. I would strongly recommend avoiding this bar if you value your money.
Best cocktail bar in London by far. Awesome venue with the friendliest bar staff. The cocktails are absolutely fabulous also. This has now become my favourite joint to go to on the weekends!!Keep it up!
I cant agree more with comments about staff, they are fun and chatty and really know their stuff.
I had 4 cocktails recommended and each one was spot on. Its great to finally find a place in central london that doesn't make me feel like a tourist.
I will be back to test some more. Lots of fun!
Great cocktails and friendly bar staff. I have been here several times and cannot recommend it enough. Their smoked apple martini is one of the best new drinks I've had in a long time.
Went to the London Cocktail Club on Saturday night with a friend who is a member. Im no expert on cocktails but the whole experience there was amazing!
The decor, music, lovely staff, and beautiful drinks made with such style and they tasted wonderful. I tried three altogether and gave them all 10/10!
I was kindly invited to join and cant wait to take friends there soon.
I've been to a few bars and cocktail clubs in my 4 years in London and I can't remember a greeting as warm or as welcoming as from the staff of the LCC. The downstairs leather sofas and ‘gentleman’s club’ feeling is great and makes this new bar feel like an old establish classic.
The drinks are brilliantly served and mixed from a full spirits bar of the weird and wonderful from around the world. If you are looking for a genuinely well mixed cocktail, search out his bar and ask for JJ, the bar’s owner who served mine, wow is the only explanation possible. This is a must see bar and will become a firm favourite for many especially when the theatre above it is in full swing.
I would have to say, as a keen cocktail drinker, that this place is brilliant. The bar staff are what makes it for me. How often is it that you can go into a trendy bar in central london and have a couple of drinks and chat to the barman for 15 minutes, only to return next week and for him to remember your name and what drink you like!
Filthy Toilets and a continuing flow of people in and out of them.
What a shame.
