Crowne Plaza London – The City were recently awarded a prestigious Platinum Award from the City of London as part of their ‘Clean City Awards Scheme’ the only hotel to receive such an accolade. The Awards were set up by The City of London to ‘work in partnership with City Businesses for a cleaner and more attractive City’ and Crowne Plaza London is delighted to be part of this initiative. With 1400 members across all industry sectors, including many Blue Chip Companies, competition is fierce for the coveted awards and Platinum is only awarded to the top 20.

The object of the Clean City Awards Scheme is to raise the profile of effective waste management by recognising and rewarding good practice and encouraging the wider adoption of the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The scheme aims to promote good waste management practices, encourage waste minimisation, reuse and recycling. It also wants to increase awareness of, and ensure compliance with the Duty of Care regulations and encourages City businesses to take pride in their surroundings.
