One of the rudest bartenders/managers i've ever met, so pretentious it's an insult to its location on Brick Lane, it's not Mayfair and you're not the Connaught. DO NOT go to this bar there are so many other great bars in the area - the Red Church, Lounge Bohemia, Callooh Callay, Night Jar etc

Absolutely awful - If i could give it 0 stars I would. This is not an exaggeration, we (8 of us) waited more than an hour for our drinks - there was a failed attempts before that, but the waitress got the drinks order so wrong that they had to be sent back. Eventually, after an hour or so we got some drinks, nit the exact ones we ordered, but the fiasco had made us eager to leave and very thirsty so we just took them. After waiting 45 mins i confronted the bar man who was a pretentious little turd who insisted that my watch was broken because there was no way we had waited 45 minutes, well we had, and my watch wasn't broken. What makes it all the more depressing is that the place was almost empty! There were maybe 20 people in there apart from us. If you want rubbish service, and I mean the worst service you can get, mixed up with lots of self-righteousness/rudeness from the bar staff (Sorry for being old fashioned, but aren't they there to serve?) then this is the place to be.

Excellent drinking den on Brick Lane. Thankfully members only, so get applying - makes it that more exclusive, which it should be. Reminds me of PDT and Death and Co in NYC. If you like the 1920's speakeasy vibe, great cocktails that require time and attention and great prohibition style music - get yourself down here and find the unmarked door. The staff are excellent and friendly and the drinks menu is the best I have ever seen in a London bar. Inspiring stuff.
