The food is ok. The cocktails are appalling. They clearly ordered too much mint. Absolute poor show. Couple that will poor service and you get a poor night out.

Bad food, appalling service, never again.

Came here last night for my birthday and have to say it was an excellent night out. We had booked a section in the Martini Lounge downstairs to start with and we found the bar staff very friendly. The cocktails were delicious and I recommend that you try at least one of the numerous Martinis on offer (The Porn Star Martini comes with a shot glass of Champagne on the side....very popular with my party!)

When it came to eating, we were a party of 13 and were therefore given a private room at the back of the restaurant which was a lovely surprise, even handier that we were right by the bar as well. Our waitress was again friendly and attentive and made the evening really relaxed and fun. We were told that we would have our table for 2 hours, but when this time was up we were under no pressure to leave at all and ended up staying an hour and a half longer thanks to the relaxed nature of the staff. The food was also excellent. Very tasty and just the right sized portions with all of us finishing our plates!

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxed evening with some good food in glamourous surroundings. We all left thinking what a fantastic find!

I will never ever go back to this place. We sat outside which would have been nice, however, the waitresses and kitchen staff decided to take their cigarette breaks, standing next to our table. Not only that, one of the kitchen staff spat on the floor, just missing our table.

My steak honestly was the worst I've ever eaten, the water we asked for never arrived, our dessert menu took 45 minutes to come (after 2 reminders!!), we had to wait ages for the bill (they weren't even that busy) and then they slapped on a service charge (which I usually am more than willing to pay, but in this case there was no chance).

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. As a local resident, I can say there are much much better places for dinner and a drink in the area.

Stumbled upon this place recently on a quiet Sunday night and found it was just what we needed to unwind at the end of a big weekend.

The food was cooked nicely with good presentation, slightly on the more expensive side for what it was though.

The waiter seemed to be there when we needed him and knew when we wanted to be left alone.

Being a Sunday it was pretty dead, which was nice because we didn't really feel like dining with a full house.

Having said that I would imagine it would be a lot of fun during the week when more people are out and about.

Would definitely like to check it out again on a Friday night with a big group.

Having writtenmy previous review and complained to the mangement, they got back in touch and apologised, informed us that they had been short of staff that night and offred us a free meal to compensate. Our second experience of dollar bore no comparison with the first, the service was great, our meals were cooked perfectly, and we almost felt guilty at not paying. I can only assume that our previous experience was a one off (it was a Bank Holiday Sunday, maybe the cook was away?) and I look forward to returning there in the future.

Went there last night with my girlfriend and to be quite honest, it seems that cooking anything more than a burger is a bit too tricky for them.



Our mussels came with at least half of them still fully closed. We told the head waiter who said that was fine and we could just prise them open. To prove a point we tried this and the shells broke, which kind of proves that they were either serving dead or uncooked mussels and then ignoring customers who pointed this out.



Serving stuff like this is a serious health risk. Following this our monkfish was tough and chewy (overcooked), the prawns with it were tiny and looked like they were reheated out of the freezer and my medium rare steak was a great piece of meat but was cooked right through and was practically well-done.



This food wasn't just 'not great', it was really poorly cooked. We didn't bother with dessert. It's not often you leave a restaurant feeling quite angry and ripped off, and we eat out a lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to $ Grills and Martinis, so much that I have in fact booked the downstairs bar for my birthday party next month. The managers and rest of the staff were extremely nice and professional. The prices are just right for this area and the food and drinks prepared to perfection. Can't wait to celebrate my birthday in style!

Dollar Grills and Martinis itself is lovely and the atmosphere is great. The staff are well qualified and friendly. The food is great and good value for money. Not mentioning the extremely tasty cocktails. It is a great place for a night out with friends. I really enjoyed Dollar Grills and Martinis.

I loved Dollar Grills and Martinis. After my first lunch there I was totally in love with the atmosphere and food. I knew right then that I had to check cocktails in the afternoon and evening. As I supposed, it was delicious.


I will definitely go back there, and I suggest all readers to try Dollar Grills and Martinis - you won`t regret it!

I went to Dollar Grills and Martinis with three of my friends and had a really amazing night. We got a lovely table with a view of the whole place, also the kitchen, which was great. It was a really busy Friday night and the vibe was just incredible.


The staff were attentive and funny and our cocktails simply delicious – be sure not to miss Porn Star Martini! We couldn’t complain about our food either. Most of us went for burgers, but my friend had monkfish which was also great.


All in all, Dollar Grills and Martiniis is a really good place for a night out and don’t forget to dress up a bit, especially if you want to hit the cool downstairs bar for a couple more cocktails later on!

$ Grills and Martinis definitely lives up to its reputation! The fabulous cocktails, sexy atmosphere, and friendly service make 'The Dollar Bar' a necessary destination for martini-lovers. The prices were sensible for what you get. The cocktails are made from fresh fruit and top-shelf brands. I suggest a few starters upstairs at the $ Grills and Martinis restaurant as well. The food was beautiful! I was very impressed!
