£4 for a coke is a flipping joke.

A very well run and solid pub. This place can get very busy during the evening after work yet the staff always cope and there is never a queue at the bar.

The Edgar Wallace is such a good venue if you're into your real ales (and if you're not, you should be). They had five on draught when I visited last and in my opinion that's a damn good reason to visit! If you haven't tried a decent pint of ale, head to The Edgar Wallace and sample what they've got. After one pint you won't look back.

Now, I've read a few Edgar Wallace thrillers and I can confirm there's nothing criminal about this pub, it's a proper old boozer with quality real ales.

The food isn't bad either, it's pretty standard gastro-pub fare but it's well cooked and presented and tastes very good indeed. The best thing about this place is the real ales - definitely the main reason to visit the Edgar Wallace.
