I absolutely abhorred every second I spent in this place. I'd heard good things about it and thought it would be a nice place to go, considering I'd only recently moved. I went with a good friend and went into the restaurant and we were greeted with a waitress pointing at us from the other end of the restaurant, then to two empty seats. We sat in them and had two menus thrown at us. Before we'd even had a decent look at the menu, a waiter emerged and asked for our order, and refused to leave when we asked for a few more minutes, very rudely tapping his pen against his notepad as we flicked through the menu. When our food came we were surprised that we'd just forked out so much money for just a measly burger which was less tasty than something from McDonald's. We were also harassed by the said waiter because we removed the lettuce and tomato, as he explained it was 'wasted food' and 'next time we should just not bother ordering food.'
When flicking through the song listings, my friend pointed to a song and said it always upsets her because it's a song her late grandfather liked. Upon hearing that, the said waiter leaned over to the music machine a few seats along from us. He put 20p in and pressed a button, and the song instantly came on. As my friend sat with her eyes slowly going red he stood and smirked. As soon as we finished our drinks we were told to leave the establishment, as they need space for more customers, though there wasn't any queue to get in and there were already lots of empty seats. I would have refused to pay if they'd sneakily added a 10% service charge on, and we left feeling very aggravated.
I would not advise this place to anybody.

We are absolutely horrified by your experience at Ed’s Soho. The essence of Ed’s is to combine satisfying food with great service and music to lift the spirit. Our people want you to come away feeling happier than when you walked in; that’s what we’re all about! We have failed miserably here and I can’t tell you how disappointed we are to have unhappy guests. On behalf of Ed’s, I apologize unreservedly; we don’t make standard excuses and we aim learn from our mistakes. We do appreciate that you’ve taken the time to give us your feedback and we would really like to persuade you both to give Ed’s another chance. Please provide contact details and I’ll arrange a meal for two on us. Peter@edseasydiner. Com

Our kids are big fans of Ed's Easy Diner. They can't get enough of the burgers and shakes. My hips and waist prefer somewhere other than Ed's.

As an American, it is nice to get a taste of home. Ed's Easy Diner does go over the top in some respects but the relaxed atmosphere and return to old values is a welcome change to the hussle and bustle of modern bars and restaurants in this city. Ed's Easy Diner is a great spot to go and just chill!
