The ViewLondon Review
Edwards is a neighbourhood boozer par excellence. Packed out, chilled out, and ready for a casual Friday night. The VenueEdwards is situated on a corner with loads of big windows. It looks Victorian with lots of original features - check out the great brass chandeliers throughout. There is a good mixture of comfy sofas, plants and tables with enough room to stand and mingle throughout.
The AtmosphereIt's comfy and spacious and not pretentious at Edwards, so you can just relax. The crowd is made up of mostly twentysomethings but well behaved and friendly. The bar staff are also really efficient and have a genuine smile.
The FoodEdwards has a nice menu including a few special selections priced at under 3 quid - you can't beat that. Burgers, salads, chips, expect bar food well served and well priced.
The DrinkTry the Worthingtons on tap. Creamy and thick with a Guinness-like head. Or, if you prefer, you can order a wide selection of bottled and draught beers at under 3 quid a pint. For those who don’t fancy beer there is a reasonable selection of wine and cocktails.
The Last WordThey have a good soundtrack (check out retro nights for old school tunes), a good selection of drink, and food at easy prices. Couple that with good service and a friendly vibe, Edwards is a real winner for a casual night down the pub.
