Absolute rip off, the staff were polite and the pizza was very nice but £50 plus for three non-alcoholic drinks and three pizza's is extortion. I know it's London and that commands high prices but get real.

Located in central London's Convent Garden, Fuel Bar is that rare place where you can go without feeling so uncomfortable about how much you'll be spending. Obviously the prices here aren't cheap, but I think it's generally very cheap compared to the average bar in central London.
First of all, the food was great and I really enjoyed it, as well as the drinks, though they are fairly basic. If this review was based solely on the food, it would no doubt get that special five star rating, but the reason below puts a damper on that.
The service (the waitors, etc) was just appalling. I felt like I was an intruder who had put a damper on their fun, when in fact I should have been treated as a customer. The waitresses and waitors seemed to be more interested in looking at their mobiles than actually doing their job. I had to wait about five minutes before someone came to my table, and even then they didn't even bother to apologise. Sadly I think a brick has more personality than these waitors and waitresses, who obviously don't know that a smile here and there would be nice. And they were SO slow and delayed serving me in favour of sending texts or whatnot.

So, if you want a place where the food and drink is great and of value, ten Fuel is the place. But don't even think of coming here for a friendly service because all you're going to get are flat waitors and waitresses with a personaly that would make a brick seem exciting. It's sad that a place with such amazing food has such terrible waitors and waitresses.

The food was lovely, the drinks were lovely, the staff were extreamly friendly, the music was diverse, and the atmosphere was great! I recommend this fantastic bar to anyone who's up for a good night out with some friends! I loved every minute of it! I wish I could give it TEN stars!

Very cold, unhelpful and unprofessional staff. Their attitude made me feel not like a customer but someone who ‘unpleasantly’ intruded their ‘peaceful easy life’. Should be no star at all. What a pity that such a pathetic business occupies such a premium location.

When the food arrived it was stone cold, when sent back was just reheated for a few minutes in the microwave, food is left on the pass upstairs where the main door is open. slow service! and under-cooked seafood! quite simply rubbish and a complete waste of money. One of the worst meals I have experienced in london having lived here for 22 years!

ok so its a fab setting with cute little corners, and when i say little i mean tiny! don't attempt a night there if you are over 5 foot!
we recently spent a christmas evening there and oh my good what a waste of money, drinks good but the food is GROSS never been served such junk! even after a jug of cocktails it still tasted of feet!
and the staff are a f*&king joke, rude rude rude! with a serious lack of personality all round especially the so called managers! they must get out of the wrong side of bed everyday! someone needs to order them some smiles and public relations training! won't be returning there in a hurry, the puddles outside are more interesting and less offensive!

Had a great night here friday after work, very centrally located and its definitely the best place to watch the covent garden street perfomers.

The food's a tad pricey but the happy hour drinks made up for that, can't comment about the waiting staff but the guys on the top bar were more than helpful and offered to bring a seat up for my pregnant colleague on the balcony which was appreciated.

Definitely one of the better bars covent garden has to offer.

I stumbled across this gem after an early show in the West End. We were right in time for Happy Hour which was great as most of the drinks were half price.

I have to say though, that the place does get extremely busy especially in the loos!

But we still had a fab night as we ordered a pizza to share, which definitely helped with our munchies!

If you're looking for a great Happy Hour, Fuel is your place!

The location couldn't be better especially if it is a sunny day.

Food is fine and priced as you would expect in a tourist hotspot. Wine is expensive but not offensivly so.

So why does it get 1 star? I have never encountered such rude and incompetent staff anywhere in London or anywhere else for that matter.

We were short changed by £10, easy enough mistake, but when I pointed this out the waitress, she told me point blank she didn't believe me.

The manager couldn't be less bothered and told me to come back around midnight when they cash up.

Their attitude stinks. Eventually wasted half an hour, after insisting they cash up their till, only to have a ten pound note thrown back at me without so much as an apology.

I was also charged 12.5% for the worst service in my life!If you fancy going to a mediocre and overpriced restaurant where the staff treat you with disdain then this is the place for you.

If not, head to somewhere else, anywhere else!

Brilliant bar! The downstairs bar has a very interesting décor with themed pods. The fish tank gave an extra touch to our girls’ night out. Will definitely go again!

To start with the 4 hours 'Happy hour' which offer great value on a full list of cocktails in a 'after work atmosphere. At around 9pm a more young and fun crowd brings a party atmosphere to the place along with fantastic music played by a DJ. The toilets are a bit small though, so don’t leave for the last minute as you could find a bit of a queue.
When you have had enough to drink and need to replace your energies the pizzas are just great with that freshly made thin base that would leave any Italian proud! Not to mention the chicken nachos...I haven't had a better one...not even in Mexico! Great place! Worth checking!

After a wonderful evening at this venue I could not go without making sure other people got a true review of fuel. A group of friends and I started by sitting for a delicous meal on the terrace where the server was very helpful and accomadating to all our needs. Although the bill was a little more than we had hoped for, taking into account the location and quality of the service and food we did not feel we had reason to complain. 5-9 happy hour and great cocktails made the night a success !!!!!

If I could, I would leave no stars at all. On arriving at the outside seating area, our party of 4 were approached very aggressively by a waitress if we intended ordering food. On being told that we intended having a drink now and ordering later, we were told that we could not sit outside, we had to be shunted up to the terrace bar. OK - we thought, duly went upstairs and ordered a (very overpriced) bottle of rose. There was no seating upstairs and my very pregnant daughter was finding it difficult to stand in the heat, so we brought our wine downstairs, with the intention of buying some food. Again, we were approached very aggressively and told that unless we ordered food we had to leave. We ordered one pizza (£15) as myself and my husband had already eaten, but were told that wasn't enough! Having had enough of this aggression, my husband asked to speak to the manager. Surprise, Surprise, he was just as rude and agressive. I asked if he would like me to sit on the pavement while my daughter and her husband ate their food, and was told he didn't care where I sat, but we couldn't sit there and only order one pizza. The tourists who were sat in the tables surrounding us were shocked and amazed that such a bad attitude was displayed - obviously the prime spot means that you can treat customers with complete disdain and get away with it. I would certainly not recommend anybody go to this venue!!!!!!!

A nice bar, nice decor, good music, good cocktails but the rudest staff. We went here for my birthday and one of the bouncers had an extremely bad attitude problem. Obviously the great authority he has on letting ppl through the door has gone to his head.

Following the advice from a friend I decided to hold my 25th birthday party at Fuel. It was a truly memorable evening, we were given the Fish Tank section, positioned next to the DJ which suited us fine. By the time we left we had been treated to great music and great service. The manager was very accomodating and facilitated my extra guests. I had a great time and would thoroughly recommend Fuel.

To say that Fuel was a disappointment would be a huge understatement. Firstly, their booking policy, we booked a space for 30 people and they said they had space for 16 people seating, which seemed reasonable enough. What we ended up with was a tiny space that could sit 8 people. The staff were rude when this was questioned and very dismissive, this seems to have happened to someone else too, so be warned. The prices were about standard for this type of bar i.e. we are talking around £3 for a drink however I would say that the food (bar snacks) was over priced and the nachos that I had were not up to scratch.
I would never go back to the Fuel bar, it’s highly over rated and the staff definitely had an attitude problem.
