Went here for a birthday lunch this week. Was really looking forward to it, it has a lovely atmosphere but the food was terrible. My main course of sausage and mash was pink, I told the waitress twice about this but she offered no replacement and just took my plate and rushed off! My dessert of Eton Mess was exactly that! Contained crackers instead of shortbread and almonds! When I complained the manager claimed these were 'shortbread crackers'. These do not exist! This is actually against trade descriptions however the duty manager was refusing to give us a refund. Please guys never eat here!!!

came down last thursday for dinner before i went to the theatre with my boyfriend, really loved the warm cosy ambiance in the terrace restaurant upstairs, the food was really good quality and good portions too, theres nothing more annoying then having a whole massive lump of food put in front of you thats too much! the waitresses were really lovely and helpful everything went smoothly from start to end, one thing i was dissapointed about is that i didnt get to check out the milk bar and coco club downstairs! i had a sneak peak but didnt have time as had to catch the show but will be back to have some drinks down there with my girlfriends it looked amazing!

Grace last night was brilliant!!! Myself and 12 of my girlies came down for my hen night and I couldn't have chosen a better venue! Staff were organised, the General Manager came and actually greeted me asking how my night was! There was an amazing Private Dining Room Area, which I was upgraded too without even asking! Milk is amazing (hidden cocktail bar downstairs) where me and my party enjoyed a booth with friendly service. Definitely recommend it!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE - I booked an area for my birthday drinks there in December and am still waiting (and having to fight for) my £250 deposit back. On the night the area I booked had been double-booked and I was put in the club, where I did not want to be. I then had random people coming into my area in the club as well - over 50 of my friends came along and spent a fortune behind the (very expensive) bar and yet, they still dont see fit to refund my £250 deposit. A sham of a place - completley ripped me off. Dont ever book this as a venue if they ask for a deposit. Staff on the night were also very rude and no shot glasses in a club?!

I went to Grace last week for a girly night, we had a lovely meal in the restaurant (the pre theatre menu) what a bargain! We then went to Mamma Mia (which I can highly recommend too :-o) after a lovely meal and show we wanted a few more bevvies so went back to Grace and the doorman and smiley host recognised us from earlier so we got straight in! Quick and friendly service.
A fabulous start and end to our theatre experience in the heart of London we loved it and couldn't talk it up any more!

Incredibly rude staff, if your gonna go to this place you better talk quickly when ordering your drink, otherwise the bar lady will roll her eyes back and walk away from you. If you have a stammer then you've got no chance in this place, I just walked out when i got that rude response, don't go here, the staff are extremely miserable and rude.

Management is unhelpful, slow and rather rude. Have had terrible experience so far of trying to book a birthday party, there is constant miscommunication, with manager and staff all telling you different things at different times.

Unfriendly and incompetent service. 40+ of us had just one waiter (he was also serving other tables!) for the first 15 minutes to serve up our starters. No drinks were served, not even water until we had almost finished our starters. Service was incredibly slow even when 2 more grumpy waiters arrived. Some of us got what we had ordered weeks in advance, others made do with what was left and some of us finished one course whilst others waited ages to be served. Really badly organised and it was all the worse for the pissed off attitude of staff. The food itself was very average. One last point - the ladies loos were all either blocked, broken and/or dirty apart from one. The only positive was I wasn't paying to dine here. Shame whoever booked it at work hadn't looked at all the previous bad reviews first cos they weren't wrong!

Booked & paid in November for 21 people to eat at 8:30pm by 10:10 no sign of a table and could not move without being jostled and barged by the visitors and staff alike, went elsehere and will never return! It is a dis'GRACE' that Grace Bar has caused me and my Company a great deal of embarrassment with clients and staff! The venue was drastically overcrowded, which I am sure contravenes licensing and Health & Safety rules and Fire Safety. The evening was totally ruined by the events of the evening not managed professionally by the management and or staff, who we found to be extremely rude and brutish; my wife and others had been pushed and shoved on numerous occasions throughout the evening by their weighting / bar staff and door persons, which is unacceptable, they do not provide a safe and hospitable venue in my opinion.GIVE THIS ONE A VERY WIDE BERTH TO AVOID DISSAPONTMENT!

Yikes, perhaps the worst place I have been out in London.

Just had a Christmas party there, it would have been better had we all just turned up at a random bar en-mass. We essentially were chucked onto a few tables in a really crowded bar.

We did get some vouchers for drinks, but once they had stopped we were hit with the astronomical prices. A 275ml bottle of Becks for £5.50! I know it is in a bottle so more expensive, but they have strayed into the world of an £11 pint!

The bar staff were pretty shoddy. If you are going to have the balls to charge so much, at least make it as enjoyable experience as possible.

I'm not really a fan of having someone in the loo's asking for money to hand you paper towels because they have de-activated the hand dryer, and here was no exception.

It reminded me of going out to clubs when I go back home to the provinces. Drastically overpriced drinks, gruff bouncers, terrible bar staff and a sense of wanting to desperately be somewhere else.

At least it was so miserable the hangovers today in the office are pretty minor.

Becks Vier is £5.40 a pint. Highest I've ever seen in Soho before this is £4.25.

I went to the bar, ordered 2 x 2-pint pitchers of Staropramen at £5.60 a pint. I was asked for £25.60. I asked Andrew the bartender how much they were each and to add it up again, because I knew he had pre-tipped the £5.60 pints. He returned and told me it was £22.40. I handed over my credit card, and was given the credit card machine to enter my PIN... that said over £45. I told him this was ridiculous. He said they were 4-pint pitchers. I showed him that it was clearly written on the side they were 2-pint pitchers and I pressed cancel on the credit card machine. He got a manager, the manager agreed he was wrong, and so he gave it back to me, this time saying £34, now claiming they were 3-pint pitchers. Another manager, and finally I was given the correct - yet still outrageous - price of £22.40 for 4 pints.

As if £5.60 a pint isn't enough, they tried to rip me off by another £23 when I handed over my credit card.

You don't need to know much more about this place. Music was dated and it was full of suits. It's horrific. Stay away.

The food was delicious...BUT

I went via the Taste-Card website which said that the dining area was quiet compared to the more lively bar area. This was totally untrue and I had to shout at my friend right next to me to be heard.

The food was very expensive and many of the dishes were not included in the Taste-Card offer, which is not what was advertised.

The service is included and was far more than the 10% I would normally choose to pay.

They have a toilet attendant asking for money for having passed me a paper towel. This is exploitative for the attendant and makes me as the user feel uncomfortable feeling pressured to pay for the privilege of going to the toilet - a service that should be free!

I will not be returning to Grace.

great music!

met some old friends and we had a great night, until I decided to go outside for a cigarette the doorman practically wanted to start a fight with me for no apparent reason, he was being very aggressive and I didn't understand why. I was with my friends at this point and they all thought he was well out of order! not only he embarrassed me in front of my friends, the girls in our group felt very intimidated. I'm not the fighting type so I just walked away, we finished our drinks then left.

It was a shame as I was having a great night, but what played in my mind was what if the doorman did that to a different sort of customer, perhaps someone who was drunk, tougher and had a temper, I'm pretty sure that same situation would've escalated and blatantly turned in to a massive brawl outside the club, which is not good for the bar's reputation.

I deal with security myself and I wouldn't accept that sort of behaviour.

I gave this place a 2 star rating as it was OK inside and the bar staff was on top of service but trust me I will not be returning again.

We had booked a table for 7.30pm on Saturday 9th July. Got there early expecting to have a drink in the bar only to be told we have to str8 to our table which was fine.
We were taken to our table and given menu's we then sat for 15mins and no one came back to see if we wanted drinks. We called staff over even when one came to serve the table at the side of our only to be ignored
In the end we got up and left we told the staff we were leaving and why and to my amazement we did not every get an apology order sorry.
Would never go back to this place again customer service what customer service.

I viewed, booked and paid for the use of 2 large booths for approx 40-50 people for a directors drinks. 4 hours before the booking I was emailed that our booths had been changed! This was to accommodate another group paying more money!!... Outrageous, where is there sense of loyalty & good business practice...what a shameful thing to do..........no wonder they are always on the street touting for business... I certainly will not be using Grace again...

Great place. Definitely heading back.
We went to Grace Bar for a few drinks before heading over to Café De Paris. The music was great - which I think is top priority... nothing worse than being in a bar Saturday night with crap music (buzz kill). A mixed crowd in the good way - not pretentious but still keeping the glamour.

Really nice food and staff. Just a warning though - the set menu is a rip off!! There were 17 of us going for pre-theatre dinner. When we arrived we were given the set menu. I asked the staff why we couldn't order from the main menu and they said that it wasn't available for tables of 10 and over due to the kitchen restrictions. I complained that we weren't told this at the time of booking and they said that we could also view the a-la-carte menu. When we were given this menu I realised that every combination of two courses were cheaper than the set menu price, sometimes by quite an amount. For instance, my meal came to £15.50 for a starter and main course but I would have paid £21.99 on the set menu! Just beware! Well worth a visit though and when we went the drinks were half price......even champagne!

Sister booked 6 months in advance for a surprise birthday party for our mother. When we arrived our table or tables I should say, were made up of three large round ones which made it impossible to sit together as a family. As I say, we booked 6 months on advance and were told another booking needed our table for 8:30. That gave us just 1 1/2 hours for 16 of us to order mains and deserts, then to eat them. Two of our party had to send back food and it came back after everyone had finished their main course. This was 8:15 and we were being hurried along.

The whole experience was a disaster from start to finish.

I forgot to add that the other parties weren't asked to 'hurry along'. Nobody, especially our mum, were amused.

Would I recommend, Mmmm, let me think??

Giving it one star as I am unable to give it zero.

15 people served within 45minutes. All the food was delicious and hot!
Brilliant service, nothing was too much trouble and the 50% off between 4-7pm was awesome!

Would definitely recommend the venue for private parties - best I have experienced in London to date.

Wholeheartedly recommend them.

Cant fault it really....we went for my sisters hen night and so glad we did. We got a fantastic deal which included food, drink, club entry and reserved area etc. everything went without a hitch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful...having everything under one roof, guided from one table to another and our drinks being brought to the table, not having to worry about having more cash for the bar just made the night a breeze. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that some of our food could of been cooked a little better, our area in the club wasn't big enough for our group and the club closes at 1... definitely going back!

My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day and it was all prepped for the occasion. There was a great intimate atmosphere; even had a singer to add to the mood. Service was good, waited to get serve a little longer than expected but once we had ordered, everything was all well and running. Staff were friendly. Food was fantastic - had a lovely evening. I recommend this venue very much.

The venue itself is ok, but beware if you make a booking because you may find that they do not hold it for you if there is a chance for them to make more money from someone else. This is what happened to me at very short notice.

Hey there, hope you can help me! i am planning a night out in london for my birthday next month and am looking at places in the west end. i've seen quite a few good reviews of this place, and am considering it. i just wanted to know if they have good food here as well? and at what sort of price range? also is the music/atmosphere good? as i would like to stick to one venue for the night instead of moving from place to place! ;) x

Location for my best-friends hen-do! What a fantastic place, Made to feel very welcome, dining in the private dining room (great venue for 15 guests) with great food, friendly service, tasty and very reasonable wine (11.95 per bottle!!). From dining to dancing in milk/cocoa bar, it was a brilliant evening - Cannot fault the place and would certainly recommend it to all...will certainly go again.

I had a great night out at Grace over the weekend! Lovely relaxed environment in the restaurant, followed by dancing in the bars. Amazing décor made the night that much more special. Was such a relief to not have to travel from a dinner venue to a dancing venue. I recommend to book a booth – perfect area for some cocktails! I will definitely be back!

I had my hen do here last weekend, thankfully due to the wonderful attitudes of my best friends and determination to enjoy ourselves we had a great night, but in no way does this reflect on the staff at Grace.

We had dinner upstairs in the Terrace restaurant, which was fine, except a waiter dropped a full bottle of beer on one of the girls' heads, tutted as if it was her fault and walked away without so much as a word of apology!

As we had booked an area in the club downstairs from 8:00 we made sure we were down there on time, only to be told that we were not on the list (this is despite having an email showing our booking and proof of £50 deposit).

We waited on the steps for around 25 minutes before the bouncer found that someone who hadn't booked had sat at our booth.

When it came time to pay our tab the bar staff said that we hadn't paid a deposit and were insisting that we pay the full amount. They were rude, unhelpful and generally uninterested. They conviniently "lost" the email receipt we gave them when we initially opened the tab!

We eventually found a manager who was helpful but it still took around 50 minutes for us to get this sorted. Eventually she admitted that yes we had paid a deposit and it was finally taken off our bill!

There seems to be a pattern emerging with deposits at Grace...I can only assume they are trying their luck hoping people are too drunk to realise they have already paid!

Generally speaking then, the decor is good, the crowd were fine and the music was ok to dance to.

If you insist on going to Grace (which I wont do again!) I would suggest you (at most) get on the guest list and just turn up for a drink and dance.

By no means part with any money before you get there!

This is the worst ever club I have been to. We had to wait 50 mins to get served at the bar as there was not enough bar staff and the ones they had were terrible. Did not serve me as I was standing to the right of the bar and not in front - no empathy whatsoever. Had to queue for 20 mins to put my coat away and another 20 mins to get back it at the end of the night. One word for this club: TERRIBLE. Will not be going back there in a hurry. Was better when it was Sugar Reef!!!

I booked Grace (along with a £100 deposit) before it had even been relaunched in October for an end of November drinks evening. We specifically asked for the Milk Bar (having around 100 guests thought it would be a perfect choice) and had this confirmed when we viewed the area a short while after it opened.

A week before the event, I got a call from the management to say the area had been double booked and as we had reserved the area for 3 hours only we would have to move into the bar next door. This wasn't what we wanted and as a result had to cancel our booking and find another venue at the last minute (Mahiki were happy to oblige and we had a great night!!).

I can only imagine that the company behind this venture are money-grabbing individuals who would rather hear the kerrching of the till for one night, than keep new and repeat customers happy. Big mistake ...this will get round (by the looks of the user reviews, it already has) and no matter how good the decor or redesign is its just not good enough.
