If it’s a traditional, simple pub you’re after then the Green Man and French Horn may just fit the bill. However, the added bonuses of live music and a loyalty card may swing in those who otherwise may have just kept walking.

The Venue
The Green Man and French Horn is part of the Faucer Inns group, ideally located in the centre of the eclectic St Martins Lane that is unique to Covent Garden. This is a stereotypical, traditional pub like so many others in our fair city. However, there are evenings dedicated to live jazz, and also the incentive of a loyalty card for regular customers, which could both prove to be a crowd puller.

The Atmosphere
The Green Man and French Horn is definitely for local workers, popping in during their lunch breaks or to recharge their batteries prior to a commute home. Recent chart music is on the stereo to enhance the welcoming atmosphere and the staff are friendly, lending a warm edge to proceedings.

The Drink
Becks, Bulmers cider and Newcastle Brown are sold in bottles, Guinness Extra Cold, Carlsberg, Edelveiss and Amstel are all available on draught, as is Adnams Bitter and Bombadier. The ales are rotated regularly to give punters a varied choice. The selection of wines and spirits are pretty run of the mill with nothing out of the ordinary to excite you, which is a little disappointing but in keeping with the tone of this traditional pub. The usual pub grub is available until 10pm Monday-Saturday together with a choice of hot drinks.

The Last Word
There isn’t really any big reason to persuade you to choose The Green Man and French Horn over the myriad of other choices in the area; however, the incentive of a loyalty card and live events might just persuade you to give it a try.
