The Green Room is situated a 30-second hop away from Goldhawk Road Tube station and is also within easy walking distance of Shepherd’s Bush. Popular with commuters after a quick post-Tube-pint as well as hoards of football fans (QPR play down the road), the Green Room is a handy place to know.

The Venue
It would be easy to miss this place, as it is down an alleyway and the sign isn’t massively clear, but once inside it is surprisingly spacious in a converted warehouse type way. There are two levels: the higher being reserved for numerous pool tables and plasma screens; the lower packed full of tables and some comfortably cushioned, intimate booths. Fridays play host to live music but the high noise level does somewhat scupper conversation.

The Atmosphere
The area is rich with Antipodeans and there is a lively atmosphere in effect, something the bar staff contribute to as they’re fun, efficient and up for a good bit of banter. The venue gets really lively for football matches – arrive early if you want to get a seat. There is an industrial feel and The Green Room is in no way cosy, but for sporting occasions the large screens and passionate fans make for an exciting experience.

The Drink
The 2-for-1 offer on cocktails during the week tempts people to begin their night here and a standard selection of beers includes a good pint of Staropramen at £3.80. An excellent bloody mary can also be acquired with as much Tabasco/pepper as you can handle

The Food
This is where the Green Room, unfortunately, doesn't excel. The food is average at best. The burgers are the thing to eat and are reasonably priced at £6.50.

The Last Word
This is a great place to watch football and the atmosphere is very relaxed (until the loud band starts playing). It's clean and well designed but ultimately needs a few tweaks(starting with the food) to really excel.
