Terrible restaurant. The people working there were so slow and didn't really seem to care about us. We where a company of four people and we all got terribly food poisoned. We are sure it was from this restaurant since that was the only place we all met and ate on. The food tasted really good but after spending two days in bed throwing up I will never go back.

A very pleasurable dining experience.

The cocktail's are expertly mixed. The surroundings are modern but nod to the Japanese theme.

I have visited many times and rate the food very highly.

The "dragon roll" is my favourite dish.

Highly recommended.

I love this place, found it on the first day it opened, and it is my favourite place to eat in london.

The staff are brilliant and we are treated so well, the food is amazing (but sometimes the mix of Japanese and Latin influences can be a bit crazy), the cocktails are out of this world (as soon as we arrive they start to make and pour our drinks now).

We have the best waitress whenever we go (carol) who is very attentive and practically knows our order before we sit down, the music is cool and the ambiance is vibrant.

The food can be pricey if you go for the exceptional dragon roll or the Wasabi prawns, but, they are both fantastic! please try them atleast once, you have to splurge every now and then. but the true genius dishes on the menu involve the crab, the soft shell crab is the best.

You have to try as many cocktails as possible (not all in one visit of course, please drink in moderation) the apple martini's are great so are the Collins, they will make any cocktail that is not on the menu, just ask nicely!

All in all, this is the only place i go to that deserves 5 stars, the whole experience makes me just feel good after i have finished a great meal. please visit it! you will not be disappointed

Happy Eating all

The two other reviews on this site, reviewed Sushi Salsa as worth a visit -albiet price reservations.

I had read these reviews and made note to visit the restaurant on a future trip to London.

However I am unable endorse the reviews as I visited this restaurant on Sunday 15 March 2009 and was very disappointed.

Firstly we waited 10 minutes in the door way for a vacant table. After which we were shown to a table 2 feet away.

Then we waited 20 minutes for a waiter/waitress to take drinks orders. When no person arrived we left and weren't even challenged about leaving.

I do have plenty of patience but the restaurant was half empty - the staff were impolite and slow and didn't seem to care about service. There was no excuse.

This place is awesome for Sushi lovers and they have been having a 50% off food promotion for quite a while now.
The menu is one of the biggest sushi menus I've ever seen.
I'm a total sushi addict and I can absolutely recommend Hi Sushi Salsa. The interior is really stylish and I'd always come back (as long as the promotion is on) ;)

If you're not au fait with Sushi, then Hi Sushi Salsa may stump you at first, as there is no conveyor belt of dishes to tempt you, so it could be a little off putting to the Sushi Virgin. However, the menu is very extensive, and as most of the courses are small and reasonably priced, I'd recommend ordering a small selection and taking it from there, as you can order as many times and as many portions as you like - all of which, I have to say, were extremely delicious, especially when accompanied by the japanese/latin cocktails (I'd recommend the green tea Mojito). The ambience, with it's sunken tables, running water and wall to wall bamboo, makes for a chilled and relaxing eating place with friends.
