Ordered the fish and chips. Cannot fault it, amongst the best fish and chips I have had. The batter on the fish was crisp and tasted very good. The chips were spot on, crisp but old-style. Fish and chips is generally something chain pubs/outlets don't get right but I would definitely recommend this.
Service was fast, although this was around 5.00pm on a Monday. I have been there before when the place has been packed. Probably best to eat before it fills up with workers.

Well went to go here at lunch with my mum and family friend who have come to visit me on my lunch hour. Went in and was told we couldn't sit upstairs - where it over looks the Thames which is disappointing.

Would say don't bother going to eat here if you are veggie the offers are seriously limited. Went to order and they'd run out of the veggie option.. Could have veggie sausage & mash though but at lunch when you have to go back to work it's not a big meal I'm looking for. Would be better if they did quick pub food such as sandwiches & jacket potatoes.

We left and went to the Brasserie opposite where we received a nice welcome and a good veggie choice.

Maybe would try just for drinks another time.

Don't eat here! We went for Sunday lunch here last Sunday for my dad's birthday and the starters took an hour to arrive, and when the main meals arrived 20 minutes later they were absolutely inedible! The meat had been left under a hot plate and was so tough and dry we couldn't cut through it and the rest of the meal was freezing cold. The service was also shocking and there were dirty plates and food stacked on every service in the bar area. It was the worst place I have ever been to in London (deceptive as it looks nice from the outside) and I was embarrassed I had brought my family here for a birthday meal - avoid at all costs!

Hmmm ... this place is a bit of a mixed bag. It can be a bit touristy, couply or city boyish. The service at the bar is slow, cause people take forever making food orders. I wouldn't recommend it if you're just going for a drink.

I was in there with my son on Wednesday lunch, tourists yes, down from York for a couple of days. We both wanted to rest our weary feet and settled for the cheese melt and a glass of bitter. Absolute heaven, and the place was spotless. It ain't true what they say about the beer "darn sarf", it was lovely. Proper chips too. Well done!
