I'm not sure what Anonymous is trying to say here? The purpose of I Knit London is for knitters of all ages and experience to get together in a comfortable and friendly place and browse the delicious yarns and maybe have a drink or two (they're the only knitting shop/sanctuary in London to have a alchohol licence, y'kno).

I'm not surprised that there wasn't anything there for a non-knitting husband, but I'm sure his wife would have the same feelings about attending a football match, unless stadiums now have comfy chairs with elbow room for a complicated cable stitch?

As a knitting man myself, I think it only right to say, that I Knit London has done what many other knitting shops have not; made men and women who knit feel welcome and offer them somewhere to get together in comfort. I've been attending the shop regularly for 7 months now and have made so many friends, and got help with projects that I wouldn't have completed otherwise.

If you aren't a knitter then perhaps one of the Thursday night films will be for you. Or a Tuesday night begginers class to learn how to knit or crochet?

I don't knit but my wife does and she dragged me along to I Knit because her friend had told her that this place was great. So along I went, like a good husband. Now, I'm sure if you're female and into knitting then this is your place - everyone seemed ecstatic that somewhere like this existed but I struggled with it I'm afraid. A word of advice to you women; don't take men. Please.
