I went to Jamie's at Bishopsgate for lunch, thinking it would be so much nicer than your average chain. However, I was incredibly disappointed!

The service was slow and unfriendly. When I approached the bar to ask for a table the manager just raised her eyebrows at me in greeting - there was no 'hello, how may I help you...' at all. She pointed out our table (still not smiling) rather than leading us to it. We then waited a good 10 minutes before a waiter approached us and I still had to ask him to see the menu!

The food itself tasted lovely, although there was a lack of attention to detail (the ends of the green beans had not been removed and some of the orange peppers had turned a weird brown colour).

When I asked for the bill, I again got a vague nod and eye-brow raise from the manager and she eventually bought it over, still looking very moody.

Overall, an incredibly disappointing experience and I would not return.

I went to Jamies last week to meet a friend for lunch. the food came out very quickly, it was fresh and very tasty. The waitress that served us was so polite and very helpful when it came to selecting our wine.
The atmosphere was buzzing and all the staff seemed friendly, i would definitely come here again and have already recommended it to my friends and colleagues.
My one criticism is that it was so busy they ran out of the homemade chocolate brownie that i was dying to try!!

Had my bag stolen from this place. My group were in a position in the bar where no other people apart from bar staff were - and none of my friends stole my bag. Whilst at the Police station they said that 5 others had bags stolen from this place the same night and was quite a regular occurrence.

Hated this place even before this incident and unfortunately went last night for a friends leaving drinks. Had one beer which wasn't great and now am sick as a dog.

The food's not sensational at Jamies but then again I am not sure that people who are visiting would expect anything more than good pub food. Which is what you get.

The staff are very helpful and the whole place seemed nicely relaxed. We certainly enjoyed our evening at Jamies without being wowed - we would be happy to return.

Jamies is an excellent venue. The people are always friendly and service is fast, efficient and cheap for a place in the city.

Only one thing that bothers me about Jamies are all the slutty woman that hang around there. I mean, they have boyfriends but they sleep with any thing that walks.

Jamies looks good but its location right in the city means it's full of wankers in suits braying into their mobile phones and eyeing up their secretaries.
Honestly, a trip to Jamies and you might just think the last twenty years never happened.
