The best pub in Beckenham, if not the borough of Bromley and beyond. Friendly service from a small and intimate bar, this local pub's staff and clientele make you feel welcome from your very first visit. A good selection of well kept beers and a great selection of whiskies.

The Jolly Woodman is located on a very quiet road, with outdoor seating to the front and also boasts a spacious (considering the size of the pub) rear garden.

You will not find a fruit machine or a quiz machine (thankfully) but you will find a large selection of books, take one for a donation to the local St Christopher's Hospice, and also a dart board for entertainment - what more could you need?

It sits quietly behind the Oakhill Tavern, I have to admit I've not been in the Oakhill since before the new management took over, but the Woodman shows how a local pub should be run.

I'll be moving house soon; number one priority is that the new house is within walking distance to the Woodman!!
