Had an amazing night here, first visit last Saturday (13-02-10). Such a welcoming environment, cocktails are totally amazing!! And as other have said the music is fabulous a real range.
I was set on getting back to home to Oxford, and had only intended to pop in for a quick drink with a friend.....but the beautiful cocktails and fabulous bar staff kept me at the bar. We ended up dancing our little socks off.
Will most certainly be back and would advise anyone to go there.
Top night thanks guys
I made it down to Jrink or now 'Nighthawks' last Saturday, for the first time in a couple of months. I've gotta say even though things have changed since the last time I was there they still put on a cracking night! The staff are different but still friendly and love to involve you in their fun. Plenty of lovely ladies, nice crowd, not your normal arrogant and wankerish advertising crowd. But plenty of people up for a laugh. Of course great cocktails and a great atmosphere brought on by the staff, and for a bar in Soho the music was fantastic, it was eclectic but all mixed up at the same time. Nighthawks has changed it's name but has kept the same ethos of the customer and fun comes first!
Found this cocktail bar via this website so took my bf to try out their happy hour last friday. They have just changed their name to 'nighthawks'. They can make up any cocktails u want even during happy hour, we had a great time there, the bartender jc was awesome, music was great, crowd was chilled. Will definitely go back and I highly recommend it.
I really really used to like this bar, as the bartenders are really friendly and serve up excellent cocktails.
The crowd tends to generally be very chilled out, and it's great place to shake an unpretentious leg on a DJ night. I have had a great birthday there, not to mention several mid week meetups.
However, when we headed there this Saturday night for late night drinks after a friend's birthday, the bouncer refused to let us in, citing a guest list.
When he produced the guest list with some random scribbles on it, and refused to admit that it was not really all that busy, it dawned on us that he was just being annoying.
Charming guy - finally added that he was basically being difficult so we had no choice. He even said that he knows he's a ____ and revels in it.
Very sad experience, I certainly won't be heading there anymore. It still is a cool bar. Just avoid it when it's busy because it goes to their head occasionally.
Once entered the venue, you are surrounded by funky, welcoming décor…The cozy couches make it easy to have a good time with your friends while drinking one of the well made cocktails, worth their price.
The bar stuff is friendly and within reach and supportive if anything is missing to make your night complete.
The most amazing thing is the choice of music, old gems like “Sweet Home Alabama” drag you to the dance floor … and you are surprised which long forgotten song will be next.
Overall: I will be back.
I visited this place a month ago and had a good time.
The staff at this bar are very pleasant, and seemed attentive.
One has to mention the toilets, as they are utterly appauling. I don't know if a toilet and toilet roll is enough to supply after £7 a cocktail.
My friends and I arrived early and all needed the toilet, even early on the toilets hummed.
The tiles on the floor were from the victorian era or looked as if they had not been cleaned in that long, accompanied by the tiles on the wall which I feel no need to speak about.
Toilets aside we did have a good time, dispite the dodgy paint jobs.
The barmen do make very good cocktails which makes one very forgiving about the place as it is meant to be a cocktail bar.
However, I cannot stress enough that: great - classic cocktails, bad - "classic" venue

Jrink is a hidden gem!!
The cocktails were really good, especially the special one the star barman Jay made me!
Its a must visit - especially for that man Jays cocktails ;-)

Came for my birthday but hadn't been here before. Arrived and took 20 minutes to get served.
The bar was nearly full of the types of girls who would be seen hanging out of stretched limos with advertising on the back.
After my friends arrived and spending another 20 minutes waiting for a fairly ordinary cocktail, we drank and left.
Headed to Green Carnation and had a great time. Warning, they turn their tables at the merest whiff of an allocation.
