I never feel the need to write reviews on these sites, usually out of laziness and typically because the service nor food prompts such disgrace that I feel the need to review.

I must say that the whole experience of this restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. Firstly, we arrived and decided to order our starters whilst we chose our main. The waiter (who I believe was the head waiter) told us in a rather prompt voice 'you have to order both at the same time' before he can open a table. He then told us he could not even give us our complimentary poppadums until we have ordered our main.

A little bemused, we hurriedly ordered our mains. As a regular customer of Safa in Camberwell Green where I eat at least twice a month and have done for the past 3 years, I decided to take one main and several side dishes (which may I add totaled a lot more than that of two mains). The waiter who was now borderline plain rude, proceeded to tell us, we cannot order sides and must order a main each. I would like to add, that the bill came to £55 between two people excluding wine.... this place is not cheap! And if I want to order several side dishes and one main, why can I not?? I am the customer.

To top this shambolic experience off, when the food finally arrived it was immensely bland, luke warm and lacked flavor. The dishes we ate all tasted the same. Indian food is renowned for being full of flavor, spices and mouthwatering aromas. This was nothing short of watery slop.

In summary, the staff were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, the atmosphere was dull, the food was bland, and the prices was expensive and unjustified. Oh... and the poppadums didn't even arrive!!

Restaurants like Safa and Tayyabs are a 1/3 of the price cheaper and put this place to shame. Kennington Tandoori you should be ashamed of yourselves.

If I could give this place a 0, I would.

great place for vegetarians like myself. Its not just a vegetarian place but they do veggie food very well. i can recommend the veggie platter for starters and Palak Dall - very tasty and filling.
The waiting staff are also very friendly so I cannot fault this place at all.

This is a really nice restaurant with great service and exceptional food! I live 2 tube stops away but its well worth the journey and its become a non-local local for me. When my mates come to London I always take them here for a good feed before a night out. I wish I could go every week but its not exactly a cheap restaurant (you get what you pay for though!) They have recently started taking online orders so I can get the exact same grub at home (for quite a bit cheaper) - the only down side of the online ordering is that I don't get to see the guys in the restaurant who are all a really nice bunch, I've been coming here for a couple of years so they know my name and I always get such a lovely welcome.

Really lovely restaurant! I was expecting 'yet another curry house' but Kennington Tandoori really took me by surprise! It is a beautiful restaurant, really clean and modern looking with stunning food to match. I was very unsure what I wanted to eat (as I can be very indecisive at the best of times!) but the waiter was very patient with me, I really couldn't decide so he helped me choose by firstly asking what meat I wanted, then what sauces I like and he was able to recommend the prefect dish for me. This was such a nice touch as I sometimes find it quite intimidating not really understanding the menu but the guys at kt really made me feel looked after and they seemed to really take pride in their food! I can see why - it was delicious! I will definitely be going back very soon! If you want a cheap bog standard curry then this probably isn't the pace for you but if you want to try some genuine modern Indian cuisine then you can't get much better than the this!

Excellent food, with great service and a really friendly atmosphere - and a great new look. Been coming to the KT for a while, and wouldn't go to any other. Never had a disappointing meal or a disappointing evening.
