I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and colleagues and I think people have given it a bit of a hard time... yes its had a few teething problems but most venue's usually do in the first few months of opening. Whatever problems they've had seem to be ironing out nicely. Cocktails are exquisite, the design visually stunning and the food is something to rival Nobu. Andrew Lassetter does his job well... as do the rest of the staff. If there's one thing McCausland knows it's that the quality of your employees can make or break you and he chooses his team well. I've never found them anything but perfectly pleasant, engaging and above all knowlegable in their respective fields... Guillaume and Thomas particularly stand out.

He may have his fair share of critics...most successful entrepreneurs do, but if you spend 10 minutes in the company of a person as driven as Mr McCausland and you haven't learnt something from him then you're a fool.

I truly hope his second venture does as well as the original Kingly.

The Kingly Club the ultra cool brand, masterminded by the creative self-proclaimed guru, Desmond(But to the ladies simply as Dezzi). Have been in business now for a total of 2 months. If i were a gambler, I would bet this place is dead and buried by the end of October. The Jury Hotel Group, who are the real owners should re-think this car-crash of a venue; that launched and failed.

Or simply fire, this self-proclaimed dream team. Who evidently lack experience in this industry at this level.

Jurys should take this as a fore warning, and turn this into a fast food burger joint.

Rest In Peace Kingly Club St. Martin's Lane.

May be your right, but isn't this "deam team" that "lack experience" in the industry the same that run the Kingly Club Soho (I assume)? That seems to have done okay over the last few years. By the way - I researched it for you and seemingly "Jury Hotel Group" as you call them, have nothing to do with it. If this place closes as soon as you suggest, I'm sure they wouldn't want their name falsely associated with it. On the other hand of course, if it takes off, I'm sure they'd be flattered. They could do with with a bit of upscaling. - Report

i visited here last week and the only reason im giving 2 stars is because of the decor. The cocktails were average and poorly made and when did we start making old fashioned cocktails with jim beam???Prices were over rated and the members of staff in the upstairs bar were standing around flirting with each other and leaning on the bar. im imagining table service or even customer service was not included in their training session.I certainly wont be visiting again

Most of these reviews are so blatantly written by Kingly themselves.. how sad that the bar and experience can't stand up on it's own and requires this level of pathetic self satsifying to create a positive image.Avoid like chinese food in chinatown!

I went to the new Kingly club for the first time last week... I had high expectations after rave reviews. How boring are the people of London? I've seen more atmosphere in an airport lounge- something the interior designer clearly referenced in their inspirations- I'd rather have a glass of vino with British Airways. The clientelle- well, the ladies (if they were ladies) were skimpily dressed Movida-types -- perfect if you are a slimy oil tycoon fresh from Russia, but for us more tasteful gentlemen, I was horrified. The door girl was rude and impatient (she was caked in some make-up of some sort), and the bar staff had that eastern european tone that instigates cheap labour/minimum wage. My drink was quite good, to be fair to them, although you can't really go wrong with a beer.I took a look at the restaurant, for future reference. If i had ever wanted to eat my dinner with the cast of Finding Nemo watching me (do you think they dare serve fish?!) I definately know where to head to.All in all, I had a brilliant time- definately going to make it a regular haunt.See you there

I'm quite shocked by the last biassed review of the Kingly Club St Martins Lane. I went there for lunch only last week and the restaurant was open, could this review be a fabricated one? Its a shame people get jealous when a restaurant does well and take up so much of their time writing dishonest & nasty reviews. For anyone not sure of the place just try it out once and make your own mind up. I read the good and bad reviews and then gave it a go for myself and was blown away by the restaurant. The food was amazing and the attentiveness and politeness of the staff was of a high standard, they couldn't do enough for you. The design on the kingly Club is extremely chic, stylish and elegant . I have never been anywhere like it in the area. I work in the heart of the West End and can't wait to go back there to show off this little gem to my friends who I know will just love the place.

I would strongly disagree with the labelling of reviews as fabrication. I am an avid restaurant goer and review all venues I visit. Not out of boredom or for the purpose of condemnation. For that reason I posted a review on The Kingly Club, in recent weeks, and made sure to qoute information given to me by the staff; managment inparticular. To remove any ideas that it maybe an attempt to slander the Kingly group. There is simply no need for me to fabricate any story.

Which raises an eyebrow to whether, reviews proclaiming the venue to be the best in the West End could be fabrications.

Its only once a review such as mine gets posted and read, that changed will ever be made. Reviews act as a catalyst for change and development. Its unfortunate, some do not hied the call.
