It took me weeks to find a venue that could accommodate all my needs for my 30th bday bash. The owners, Kami & Simin were very friendly and warmly welcomed my ideas for the party.
I am not an easy going type of gal and had specific ideas of what i wanted re decorations/music/food and drinks and on all of my requests each and everyone was met and far exceeded my expectations!
On the night everyone enjoyed the platters, the delicious cocktails and danced till our feet hurt. My heart was happy and I felt very blessed to have had such an amazing 30th bday party without any complications.
I would higly recommend Kisse Bar for any special occassion or even just a cocktail or 3!
Quick correction last review - this little jem gets four stars.
I hired this bar earlier this year for a birthday party and it proved to be a great venue.
The owners were accommodating, professional and very nice people helping everyone enjoy a good night.
The bar fits 60-70 inside and has a covered outdoor smoking area with seats/tables.
Drinks are pretty reasonable and bar service was efficient with 2 bar maids and the owners making sure everything ran well.
This is a good option to just hiring an area in a larger bar or a room within somewhere like the Artesian Well.
Whilst it is slightly further from Clapham Junction, buses/cabs are easy and we found that even rain did not deter people from making the extra distance.
The owners were more than happy for us to where fancy dress birthday party and found we were well catered for from drink, door policy (i.e. ensuring no randoms were allowed in without our consent, food to music (can bring your own iPod, DJ can be provided or bring your own DJ).
Having organised many a party across London, I would definitely recommend checking out this venue - it is what you want to make of it as all the right ingredients are there!

Excellent venue; intimate and very friendly.
Definitely worth a visit. Big thanks to Kami and Simin for making my 'significant' birthday go with a bang!
I first visited Kisse bar in 2005 for a Saturday night drink and was immediately wowed by it's sophisticated yet friendly and intimate atmosphere. I have since held two parties here with the owners Simin and Kami on hand to ensure everything ran smoothly. It has a funky/retro bar area, plenty of seats to chill out and chat with friends and a cute dance floor for when the dj comes on later on a Saturday night.
I booked a surprise party for my partners 40th at the Kisse Bar. The owners Simin and Kami were brilliant. They were attentive and wonderful hosts and made the evening run swimmingly. All my guests thought Kisse was a fantastic venue and had a wonderful time. I'd recommend this venue to anyone planning a party. They provide good food a great sound system and are chilled yet eager to please.
Kisse Bar is so beautifully decorated I wanted to cry, it’s so artsy and continentally chic! The other great thing about the Kisse Bar would be their lovely cocktails, try the Metrosexual, delicious!
The Kisse Bar in Clapham is a diverse restaurant/bar that transforms throughout the day. Opening with one of the best breakfasts this side of the river, great coffee included in the very reasonable price, then throughout the day it serves paninis, sarnies and home made burgers. In the evening the pace steps up and things get intimate, when Kisse becomes a cocktail lounge, serving delectable bar snacks and a la carte meals. With special touches thrown in like ‘The Hubbley Bubbly Bong’, for five English pounds, four people can have an Arabian night with a Sheeisha Bong with flavoured tobacco supplied. Kisse Bar prides itself on its friendly ambience – a breath of fresh air in London nowadays. Its small family business makes everyone feel like a regular. Not only that it's a great pre-club bar and it's open late at weekends.
