I had a club-hopping session with some friends of mine and Ku was the first place that was went to. I have to say, after being to a few clubs, Ku was the best night ever! I never had so much fun. The people who went to the bar are so nice and even the bouncer was sweet. Like the review, drinks are not expensive. Pitchers are pretty big as well so the 11quid was well worth it. I would recommend Ku to the young, gay community and also to the girls like me who just want a night out drinking delicious cocktails and meeting really nice people without having to bat off any pervy male attention.

Well, although the official review includes some reference to how the young crowd is, on the whole they are extremely young! Do a search on faceparty for ku bar and see how many 15 and 16 yr olds list it as their drinking place ! Its amazing how they get away with it!

Also, be warned if you are over 30 yrs old, the bar staff will treat you like shit, ignore you, serve others first, and even say out loud to other staff things like " Im not serving him/them, theyre too old, you do it"

Leaving that out aside, it is a nice venue, drinks are ok, it has a lot going for it with the worst part being the underage allowed in with fake ID and the attitude of the awful bar staff... go there this week and you will see one that looks about 15 - and thats why he was picked to work there! I think that tells you all you need to know.

As the owner of KU BAR I find your review rather hurtfull. Yes the ku bar is popular with young gay men indeed it is often called "my first gay bar"

I operarte within the boundries of the law and insure no persons over 18 are ever served alcohol.

I believe that the Ku bar offers a safe non crusiey introduction to londons gay scene.

Ku is about finding yourself and doing so in a safe place.

since our move to lisle st we have been able to expend our market range to include a much broader age range and indeed more lesbians.

I set out to make KU BAR all inclusive to all ages and all persuasions.

perhaps i have aimed to high for you approval.

as for rude staff I employ 25 people and do my utmost to ensure that they are friendly and accomadating to all my customers

however like the odd customer

sometimes staff turn out to be bad eggs x
