La Bodeguita Del Medio is one of the few Cuban restaurants in town that has a Cuban ambiance about it.

The Venue
A large and lively bar area opens in to a more relaxed dining area. The decor is simple but captures a Latino spirit with its well spaced layout and the posters and pictures on the walls.

The Atmosphere
This is the type of place where most of the guests have double-barrelled surnames. You'll be clinking glasses along with signet rings at the bar. The service has a wonderfully lively feel about it.

The Food
The bread is good and you'll want to have a lot of it. Of course, you won’t find bread in most traditional Cuban restaurants, but then, this is a modern European Cuban restaurant. However, the starters are authentic and fantastic and the black bean soup is especially memorable. The Cuban fare in the main courses is good, but expect not-so-good Cuban variation of the risotto. Desserts are average, and the chocolate fondant comes with peculiarly green mint ice cream.

The Drink
The bar shakes up real Cuban cocktails whilst the wine list has a superb selection of old and New World wines.

The Last Words
La Bodeguita Del Medio is more than just great ambiance - the food is decent, too.
