From hearing the reputation of La Tasca I was happy to go there. I ordered 3 dishes, of which two given incorrectly. We were also waiting a long time for our food, which didn't actually taste very nice. I also found the waiters quite rude. I won't be going back there.

The food was great. However the function room was pretty dead and next to the toilets which was unappealing.

The manager at this restarant got involved when our party of 11 were charged incorrectly for 15 (including service charge!!) which was an extra £115. When we asked for the bill to be amended he said that someone had to take the cost and it wouldnt be him. He then proceeded to air his personal problems to our party and disputed it for a long time.
Although the cost was eventally dropped, the situation was horid and he was extreamly un professional.

Having actually been to Spain and experienced real Tapas, I feel anyone of Spanish origin would be ashamed to have La Tasca linked to their cultural food. Considering the price, and the reputation I had been expecting exquisite dining, instead the portions were paltry at best, which turned out to be a good thing as the quality of the food was diabolical.


Tapas is a long-standing, Spanish tradition and La Tasca served microwaved rubbish, insulting not only to the customer but in turn to itself.

La Tasca is a stylish Spanish restaurant that does very good tapas. The staff were very friendly when we went the other weekend and they were also very accomodating which you don't get in all that many places. I will be going to La Tasca again as soon as I can.
