Just had excellent lunch of veal ravioli, salad, bread for a fiver. Non-pop music in the background, no tv, excellent beers and lager. And no I'm not staff! Very good up-marketish 21st-century local.

Bad pub, bad food, bad attitude. Don't bother... Def not for my kids, the floor is dirty...Such a shame that after a month or two this place has started to fail.

With no other recommendable pubs in the area, The Ladywell Tavern is just what we needed - a cosy/homely local pub. The new owners have redone the interior saving some of the old features such as parts of the amazing fixed seating while making it more modern. There are plenty of large tables for eating and the food is tasty. The menu changes but I'd recommend the mussels or sausage and mash. The bar looks great and the staff are friendly. Tuesday night is quiz night and well worth a visit.

Mediocre pub, needs a more effort from the staff. Heard good things about the food but was dissapointed by the pasta dish I tried the other night. Will try again in a month or so as I really need a good local pub.
