This is a great little pub tucked away in the corner of Covent Garden. You may need a map to try and get there but it's well worth the effort as the staff are freindly and the bar is well stocked with a variety of beers and spirits. With it's low ceilings and walls adprned with hundreds of photos and articles about the pub, the Lam & Flag is full of character.

An American colleague of mine asked ot be taken out to a traditional English pub and was not disappointed when we ventured into the Lamb & Flag. The bar staff even let him behind the bar for a photo which is something you wouldn't see in the nearby, less welcoming bars.

Don't be fooled by the fact that the place is hundreds of years old (Samuel Peyps is said to have stayed there on several occasions) as the pub is lively and has a welcoming atmosphere.

If you're iin Covent Garden and looking to avoid the tourists and spend some time in a place with a bit of character, the the Lamb & Flag should definitely be on your list.
