We have decided to have our wedding reception at Las Iguanas in Spitalfields Market on the 18th October 2008. We met Barbora Kocnerova there, who was extremely helpful and managed to do a great job on the day with her excellent staff. The food was brilliant, as well as the service and the drinks. Barbora managed to organize our party for 80 guests, with place cards and great food delivered on time! They worked so hard to the point that everyone was extremely satisfied with the service and told us about how great the venue is!
We will definitely go back there again, and I strongly recommend it to everyone. Thank you once again Barbora for everything! We look forward to seeing you soon!!

My colleague and I were six altogether and we decided Las Iguanas in Spitalfield for lunch. They took 45 mins to serve half of us and another half an hour to serve the rest. The food was cold and the managers had no control over their staff. Bad food service, bad food and bad vibe.
I went to Las Iguanas last Thursday with a couple of friends. The layout and decoration is very nice, the furniture is a little bit different. Cocktails are reasonably priced and quite strong. The music is quite salsa and samba orientated. It's a good place to go if you want a low key laugh.
We visited here on a busy Sunday afternoon for lunch. There were no tables outside but were happy to sit inside and were very impressed with the range of south american dishes on the menu.
They are very new (2 days open) and it showed - whilst the food, when it eventually arrived - was great, the service was abmissal. We were ignored for about 15 minutes, then when we eventually grabbed a waiter and ordered, he promised to give us bread and olives "straight away". They didn't arrive. 10 minutes later we asked for them. Then we chased up our drinks which hadn't arrived either. Then when our tapas dishes finally arrived, they had bought us the wrong ones!
There seemed to be no reason for the chaos on the service as they had loads of staff, all seemingly running around busily in circles with no sense of direction.
The food and drinks, however, were delicious. I would probably give them one more shot for this reason but if the service stays this bad, that will be it.
