This decidedly french bar is well, french in attitude. Poor service, an arrogant barman who loves to yell and swear and at his patrons. Avoid it like the plague. A group of us wanted a few quiet wines after a lovely dinner at next door restaurant Souk Bizaar. Near closing time at 11pm, rather than a traditional "we're closing soon" comment, he decided yelling and swearing would suffice. Message taken. We left immediately. A horrible end to what started as a great night.

The staff are delightful, the range of wine superb and the restaurant downstairs (members only) is to die for. Their selection of cheese is impressive and the French cuisine is authentic.
To sit at ground level and enjoy a wine is great fun.

Le Beaujolais is a lovely little place - I always admire somewhere with musical accompaniment and the jazz here was such a pleasant addition. A really good wine cellar is held at Le Beaujolais and makes a return trip a certainty for us.

If you want a pre-theatre meal, Le Beaujolais is a good bet. It's really welcoming in there and is always very relaxing.

Nice food in nice surroundings, you could do a lot worse than Le Beaujolais.
