Came here with 16 friends for a birthday celebration. Although the bar looks great the service was poor - slow and unfriendly. We arrived at 6:30pm and still did not have a drink at 7pm. The waiting staff were uninterested and very slow. The cocktails themselves were nothing to write home about either - mainly packed with ice and little in the way at spirits. At around £16 (once thd 15% service charge is included) i was not impressed. Would not recommend and would not visit again.

After spending a very pleasant afternoon with friends at the restaurant next door I have never been more underwhelmed at a reception to a bar. The hostess I think was more concerned as to how she looked than the experience of the guests. We booked and had receipt and proof of booking but this was not recognised but this was not the main issue - the main issue was how we were dealt with. I will NEVER come back, and as a corporate banker who spends thousands on clients over the year this is a damning experience.THis is the differentiator between businesses that survive or close within a credit crisis.I know which one you will be.

I always have a fabulous time when I go to Light Bar. One of the waitresses always takes time to make sure I am having an enjoyable evening and that my drinks are mixed to perfection. She and the other waitresses and bar staff are so friendly and make the most amazing cocktails that I can't get anywhere else.


Light Bar has such a beautiful team who you can see work really well together and in such a stunning venue!

The Light Bar, in the St Martin's Lane Hotel certainly lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere was lively and fun, the drinks mixed to perfection - just a shame that the waitress service was slack - had to ask for my drinks twice and took 15mins for the bill to arrive!

And as long as you can laugh at all the fashionistas and the 'Carrie-from-Sex-In-The-City' wannabies, then you'll enjoy yourself.
