Love the place. Food Interior everything beautiful. But...... This place used to be more welcome in the past. Its a first time actually being served by the owner as he said. Apparently the kitchen can not serve starters and mains at the same time because some of the food gets ready faster than the other. Never had problems about that before. And the waiter/owner wasn't nice almost all night, pretty much until didn't come time for the bill. All of us could see that he did the job because he had to not because he did care about the service. I mean if you have problems leave them and your principals at home, and pay more attention to your costumers. And if u can't deal with it hire waiters/waitresses who can. Shame for the good atmosphere and food. The service wasn't as it used to be.....
Just came back from LMNT after fantastic meal - quality superb. I was worried at first having read one of the reviews but service was good considering the waiter had to serve the whole restaurant on his own - so no time to hang around and exchange pleasantries. I agree, welcome was not exactly overwhelming but the food - wow! Atmosphere was brilliant with the ancient Egypt theme and as for the loos - well, one couldn't ask for more!

I am visiting from India and went to LMNT after reading about it here.. It was quite a task reaching this place..but was surely worth the effort.. I agree that service was not the best you'd expect but the food makes up for everything.. I tried the goat cheese and Pork belly and they were sumptuous.. the Egyptian interiors are brilliant but the French music doesn't really go very well with it.. I'll surely try to visit this place again if time permits.. this is a must go for all food lovers.
Living only a block away from LMNT I have been a frequent customer since its opening -
the food is always delicious and you never have to wait too long for it,
staff are all friendly and the interior is like something from a movie!
check out the bathrooms for a bit of a giggle and I would strongly recommend the duck confit - cooked to perfection every time!
Went last night for a birthday. The food was lovely, if a little on the small size- all had a starter, main and desert and the guys were still hungry. A funky restaurant to look at, a cosy and inviting refuge. Shame about the surly service.
It was horrible, not one smile from any of the waitresses and we felt like we were an impostition to them. It got worse as the night wore on.
Because they began to ruin our night we refused to pay the full serivce charge (there wasn't any real service) they became openly hostile and rude. It was embarrassing. I eat out every week but this is my first review. I felt I had to share my experience because I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same thing uin their night like mine.
We went there for the second time last night, and it was undeservedly quiet. The food was again excellent, beautifully prepared and presented and quite delicious. The service very friendly too. The only reason we could think that this place is not full is that it is slightly 'off the beaten track', but for anyone who takes the trouble to find it, it is a real treat and excellent value.
