Don't expect to be wowed by the venue itself. That's not what this place seems to be about. It's by no means bad, just not one of those places trying to be what it's not and charging you for the privilege! It's honest in it's pricing and lends itself to having a good time.
I'm surprised there aren't more of them. Consider a franchise guys, it's a sound business you could replicate anywhere.

Had a brilliant time when we happened upon this gem of a find in Covent Garden. The music was so varied and full on, I wish more clubs would introduce this policy, as the same genre all night doesn't represent the iPod generations varied tastes at all. We had lovely cocktails all night and I spent at least half of what I'd expect to pay elsewhere and BOY! are they strong. No place for the weak or weary here my friend! Staff were fun as well. Not sure the manager was about as they looked like they were having as much fun as us. If you're after a really fun, relaxed but wonderfully charged night on the tiles you'll love it. There were a few suits in but they represent a small percentage and were very generous with the drinks they bought us and charming with it. Not sure why they get such a hard time in the reviews. Can't wait for a chance to go back. Also, the smoking area is massive, so didn't have to get squashed in like most venues. Top stuff Los Locos. P.S. Try and blag a "nobody's ugly after 2am" T-shirt before they become legendary! Thanks. Gooner 1973
I went to Los Locos with a group of friends visiting from out of town who wanted somewhere fun, inexpensive and unpretentious. Well that’s exactly what we got. If they had wanted upscale I might have gone for Mahiki, which is great fun but expensive as hell. When we arrived the bouncers made a point of having a laugh with us, which was quite different from the usual lumps of meat you encounter on the door. I think we paid £5 each which on a Saturday night is bit of a nice surprise (more dosh for drinks) Once we got inside we headed straight for the bar and got a round of cocktails in, which once again were good value for money, more like pub prices than a West End club and they were delicious with a mighty kick!. Down they went and straight onto the dance floor as the music was fun, varied and lively. I thought the crowd in there were really friendly as we got chatting and dancing with lots of different types of people, in different groups which made it feel more like being at a party in a friends house, rather than the stuck up pretenders found in almost every other West End club. The DJ played our requests and even gave shout-outs on the mic, for our birthday girl! Nice touch DJ! When I went back to the bar, the bar tender not only remembered our drinks but also my name. I think his name was Raph. I tipped accordingly! To say there was a broad range of different people in there is an understatement and certainly made the night so much more fun. I definitely recommend going if you want a relax but up for it crowd, just interested in having a lot of laughs and dare I say it “a good time” how very quaint! If you’re after a club where you can be yourself and laugh out loud without feel conscious Los Locos is gonna tick all the right boxes. If you’re a pretentious twat stick to CC Club like the rest of the emotionally insecure! 5 stars and well deserved. V
I used to be at this club every weekend during my last year of college, it really helped me and my friends through some stressful times, and we never had to pay a penny for our nights there, because the staff knew us and were always lovely as they still are now. However, I went back a couple of weekends ago and it was evident that the club had changed hands, and it was just not as fun or exciting. Where used to be happy chart hits and club classics, the dj now tries drum and bass and rnb that seems to go on forever, and it just doesn't fit the style of the rest of the place. The clientelle left a lot to be desired, too. If you loved it once, chances are you will hate it now.
I went to Los Locos last week for an unexpected meal and was pleasantly suprised with the service and good quality food. We turned up with a group of ten and they were very helpful in accomodating us.
There is a great special menu in place, with two courses, drink and you can stay when it turns into a club. In the West End going out for a meal with ten friends and a boogie for less than 200 pounds is pretty good value to me. I had a great time at Los Locos and will definitely go again.
I went to Los Locos last night with a group of colleagues and we were all extremely unimpressed. We had to order from the party menus which offered three levels of bad value - none offered a choice of entree and all included alcohol which is an utter joke because the shooters we got were weaker than a dying mouse. Also, the starter was extremely poor - the Nachos we got barely had a gram of cheese and although the potato skins were good there wasn't any hope of seeing meat there. I'll stick to a packet of Doritos from Tescos next time. The mains were OKish but certainly no better than you'd expect in your local Wetherspoons - we declined to sample the delights of the dessert menu!
The waiting staff were friendly but slow and, in one case, incompetent, bordering on rude. All in all, we all felt ripped off and were glad to leave. At £35 a head for a few beers and substandard food, service and decor it's too much for me to swallow!
I can see people dropping in to los Locos for after-hours drinks but otherwise don't go. There's enough choice around Covent Garden to get a decent meal and certainly for better value.
Having read good reviews about "Los Locos" a group of friends and I spent an evening there for a birthday but nothing about the place lived up to expectation. The food was okay, but nothing fancy and the drinks were almost like cordial. The staff (most of them) were rude, slow and needed to be asked several times for things event though the place wasn't even half full. After settling the bill by card, we were in the process of leaving a tip in the tray (debating that it would be rude to leave none) even with the bad service. The head waiter approached us and demanded a better tip than £2, he demanded 12.5% which came to approximately £25. We attempted to explain that a tip was our discretion not his right and we decided to leave no tip however when we attempted to leave the table the head waiter actually blocked our way out demanding we owed a service charge, he only backed off when I suggested he call the police if he felt we were in the wrong.
We all ended up leaving extremely unsatisfied and annoyed at Los Locos, upset at the rude manner in which we were told we 'owed' a tip.
Fantastic club, great vibe, cheap drinks, gorgeous barmen...particularly a certain blonde! Attracts right kind of people and guaranteed to have a great laugh at this club. Have kind of become a regular here ever since I first came. Top quality night in an understated club.
