Luna bar is the place to be. I attend this bar & restaurant most Friday nights and the food is decent as well as the parties which happen at the downstairs bar and club of Luna Lounge.
The people that attend this bar are people who like to have a good party time. I fully recommend this bar and restaurant.

Here at Lunalounge / eatery no night is the same.
There is a new layout to the eatery with more space.
There are acts brought in by Suja and there is local talent from the local area who just pick up the mic and let it rip.
We feel very much a part of Lunalounge every time we are there and never feel isolated, we get great vibes from this venue.
Before entering the lounge we always grab a bite to eat upstairs in the Eatery, a lovely buffet at a reasonable price, there is also a £19.99 meal buffet for two with a bottle of wine which is a great steal, but it does not stop there the staff are just wonderful too.
I have been visiting the venue for many years now and yes places do change over the years, we all have a bad day especially when it comes to food, its never easy to please everyone I understand this 100% since I am working in the food industry.
Hey here at Lunalounge a smile a chat and some banter is very welcome indeed.

So why not join the gang, check out whats on and feel part of it.
We think its Leytonstone's best place to hang out if not the best in East London.
Cheers Suja for making our nights a ball and a big thanks to Giovanni our resident Karaoke King!
Used to go here quite regularly and it was once good for the music and food. But standards have been slowly dropping in both food and music and the drinks at the bar are probably the most expensive in Leytonstone - a rip off really.
A year ago I would have said it was worth a visit but now I would recommend other places in the area which are much better. Last time I was there I was put of by the smell from the outside of the wheelie bins where they put their food waste. It's the first thing that hit me. When I went inside and ate the food I noticed the poor quality of meat and generally bad food which I thought had been heated from the day before.
There was a time when some good bands played there but I guess the recession has hit them like everyone else and they are cutting back.
I don't recommend this place any more - you can get better food at the local Tesco or some of the other restaurants in the area and then nip over to one of the other venues to get music.
A year ago I might have given 4 stars, but now it's only worth 1.
I had best time ever! Amazing band +free entry, delicious snacks from upstairs buffet and many nice peoples.
A rea gem inthe East-End. Cool Jazz, cool people, no idiots. Suja the host is a friendly and enthusiastic gentleman. If this place was in West London it would be packed every night
I had a eat as much as you like Indian meal upstairs for £5.97 ! Downstairs is the Luna Longe! I had passed during the day but never been inside during the evening. Outside is a monitor showing the band playing and another in the restaurant.
It can be a little off putting to go down the steps into somewhere like this because there is no mention of charges outside but nor it does it say free admission either. One has a fear of someone inside asking for a £20 note and making you too embarased to refuse and leave. But its nothing like that at all and they welcome you with a smile.
Full marks must go to Suja for operating a place like this. There is no entrance charge ( at least not when I went ) and the bar prices are reasonable. There are very few places left with live music now and many are rather on the expensive side. So this must be his hobby rather than a serious business enterprise.
Now the review. Its quite small and intimate and the music might be considered rather loud by some in such a restricted place. It was really quite cold inside as the door kept open ( perhaps a fire regulation? Otherwise please close it as its was freezing at about 13 degrees ) Tonight, Sunday, there were only about 12 not counting the band. Thats such a pity because the music and atmosphere were so good. But when you come bring a very warm coat until something is done to make it warmer inside.

Vibes like they used to be!
good bar and good interesting music.

Five Stars all round really.
Atmosphere, music, service and amazing food! Mine host, Suja, is a great guy and very attentive to everyone's needs.
A Gem in a rather drab parade of shops. All the better to find such a place.

We stumbled on it after a couple of drinks in the George and didn't want to leave until closing time, perfect place to unwind and round off a night :D
I am not a big fan of Jazz but the Luna is actually quite a cool venue. Been here a couple of times and the crowd is well laid back, no beef whatsoever!
