I chose to go to Market Bar for some birthday drinks because I wanted a relaxed venue where friends could come and go throughout the day, and where the odd friend who has a kid could come without feeling like a social pariah - it was a quiet Sunday, after all. Unfortunately the information about kids being allowed was inaccurate. My friends were quickly asked to leave with their very well behaved little one year old. I explained that none of their other (few) customers had complained but that if they did the parents would happily take him outside. I also explained that that we were expecting a big turnout, so we'd guarantee spending lots of money at Market Bar. However, the manager rudely insisted in telling my friends to leave. So we all left and I don't intend to go back. All of their other customers were old men anyway.

The Market Bar is a cool venue with great food and live music. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and it seems to be a place that attracts good looking people - our table of guys certainly thought so. Our meal was really nice and tasty, not bad for the price. We went on a night that the Market Bar had both live jazz as well as a DJ so it's a good place to grab a bite and stay on all night.
