cool and funky live music venue. Has its own original vibe unlike another bar on portobello. Is a chilled place to go during the day for a few drinks and a game of pool but definitely ramps up at night. Nice strong cocktails are a must! One of my fave places in west London.

mau mau is a original, relaxed friendly bar, with a eccentric mix of portobello characters. The live music is second to none, always showing a wide range of local and international talent. You will never be disappointed! when the bands aren't playing, the djs are spinning tunes to keep the vibe alive! There's a pool table there, which is something that other bars in the area don't offer, and makes for a fun day/night out. this bar is one to experience!!

I have been to Mau Mau bar once and i think it ruins the great atmosphere of Portobello Road....The bar itself is cool but the atmosphere is terrible! I would not recomend this bar to anyone who wants a good night.

My first time in london and I happen to come across Mau Mau Bar! Fab and friendly are two very honest ways too describe this bar.

Well, I saw a great gig at Mau Mau Bar and ate some great grub.

I went to Mau Mau Bar on a friday to see a friend there, and there were a couple of bands on. But it was different to a normal band night.

There were people up dancing, strobes, beer flowing. It was very tasty. Man, Mau Mau Bar is a cool somewhere to go with your mates. I think the night was called Treatment.

Mau Mau is a lovely place to go mid-week or on a Friday night. Sexy staff who know how to enjoy themselves. If possible try to catch a live event, the atmosphere is fantastic.
