Medicine Bar is a pretty cool bar with a nice crowd having fun. That was my first impression. I spent quiet a lot of money because I enjoyed the evening. After leaving the venue I realised that had I forgotten to pay my tab, so I immediately I went back and wanted to pay.


The doorman wouldn't let me in again despite the fact that I told him the purpose of my return. It ended in an argument and eventually he turned really nasty. Finally I was allowed to pay the bill at Medicine Bar.

Walking through the front door I was immediately struck by the coolness of the Medicine Bar, until I went upstairs and it was so hot I couldn’t get any air, except through the window, which didn’t even open.



But you wouldn’t want to escape this immensely funky and vibrant London bar, except for the rude manager who pushed me out of her way while I was standing at the bar, shouting at another customer whose drinks she had messed up! Overall, then Medicine Bar is a great place to party: it’s just a shame about the manager.

Erm... I always thought the Medicine Bar was that Damien Hurst place decked out like a chemist. But whoever this Medicine Bar is owned by it looks more like a traditional pub than a branch of Boots. I think I need to take my medicine...
