Went here for the first and last time. Absolutely horrendous place. Door staff were extremely rude and arrogant. Cost £10 to get in, when I asked the door staff "I hope its busy in there for that price!" he threw my money back at me and told me to go away, for absolutely no reason!! Unfortunately I was with a birthday group who had already gone in so had to swallow my pride and go in anyway. Drinks were watered down, expensive, atmosphere was rubbish, and was full of obnoxious clientèle.
Truly a horrible place, will be glad never to return. Avoid at all cost!
I can not stress enough about how awful Metra Bar and Club is. Manager is rude we got told free entry that was A lie,,, drinks are watered down and over priced it is A cockfest full of sleesy old pervs. Omg this plece is laughable. I would rather get drunk on my own in A small box in A dark ally than step Within 100 feet of this Place Again one star is to much
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO! I have no idea why this website has this club rated at four stars. Listen to the majority of the user reviews! I went on a Monday night (last night) which was supposedly Metra's "student night." We were supposed to get in free before 11 then there were supposed to be drink specials from 1.50...none of that was true. We got there and they made us all pay 3 pounds to get in. They said that the free entry ended at 9, and when we informed them that their website said free entry before 11, they told us a bunch of bullshit about how we were probably looking at their old website. So after some arguing we paid the 3 pounds and they gave us each a slip for a free shot inside (which we then found out that they gave to everyone). The shot was a tiny splash of sambuca with orange juice... Then when we asked about the drink specials at the bar, the bartender said there are none except 3 beers for 10 pounds (which really isn't much of a deal). When we tried to talk to the manager about this, he was a complete asshole. The place was packed with tourists and the music was awful--sounded like something a DJ would play at a bar mitzvah. I can't say this enough--DO. NOT. GO.
I think that 1 star is to much for this dump. stinks of sick overpriced drinks that am sure are watered down double vodka tastes of water would not get paid to come here again. boring boring boring
I had my bday party at Metra club with few friends and family. Booked VIP area package so my guests could have free entrance but on the night they started randomly charge my guests so half of my guests had to pay to get in and the other half got in for free I was very annoyed. On top of that drinks prices were really high I ordered bottle of Absolute Vodka and they charged me £180 pounds for it ... too expensive.
Music was good though and I like the VIP area but they need to have better management.
Biggest dump, smells of a mixture between BO and sick, the ladies behind the bar are rude and its just a bunch of perverted men ( it was ironic when the song 'too many men came on' ). The only good thing is getting in the vip when you are on a raised platform so you can look down at all the squirming peasants
Thank You Metra for introducing me to the Man Of My Dreams.
I will never forget my perfect night
xx
A waste of time and money! I will never go there again. I paid 10 pounds entry for an empty club and the shots voucher I got, was for nothing. You had to buy first something, to get a shot of fruit juice! Very rude and impolite staff.
