I recently attended Mint Bar in Streatham Hill to meet friends for pre Christmas drinks and I feel it is my duty to tell you all about my experience. Having arrived at the bar and before I even had the chance to take off my jacket and scarf two females in their early 20s had pushed our table knocked a drink over refused to replace it or apologise. The two girls continued to verbally attack me before entering into an altercation that ended up with my head being held down to one of the females knee and continuously being punched in the face while her associate proceeded to hit my in the back of the head.

Although the music was initially stopped and the lights turned on when a stranger stopped to get the females off me these girls were not removed from the bar. There were absolutely no security measures being met and this establishment obviously encourages such violence to take place in the premises as the females were not removed or asked to leave. I am utterly outraged that a paying customer can walk into this establishment and be greeted with such violence and threatening behaviour, I refused to be a victim of such awful actions of two classless females but I am surprised and extremely disappointed that they were allowed to continue to stay in the bar after they had carried out a violent attack. I would expect an establishment not to encourage this behaviour or wish to have violent and unruly people drinking at the bar, so the question has to be asked why were these girls not removed?

While the bar staff are very friendly and bought me ice to hold down the very noticeable swelling on my face and a free drink was given this was the only action taken and this is simply not good enough. These two females should have been asked to leave the bar and barred from returning. I do not recommend Mint Bar to anyone and would strongly advice people to keep a safe distance from Mint.
