Was in on saturday night, wit a few friends. We got in on time for the happy hour, long happy hour. An Irish guy behind the bar, seemed to be running, the place asthe other person behind the bar seemed to be in his own little place. Got almost forced to drink cocktails, they were really good tho. Then asked for a menu n the Irish guy just kept sayin give me a spirit and away he went, must be a wee passion or a posh alcho. A party was on down stairs, think it was a b'day party and some girl kept on asking about her camera. Recommend it, and prob go back durin the week to get a look at the menu.
A very cool place on Brick Lane near the Beigel Shop. I went their on a Saturday night,very busy I must say. Great drinks, good music and staff are great too. Theres a lot happening in Montys Bar and Lounge. They have two seperate rooms on the Ground level. Whilst going to the gents on the Basement level I noticed another room, went in and found myself in to be amongst private party goers. They had Dj's and a projector screening 92". The rooms happens to be hired out free to party goers and also to filmmakers in and around Brick Lane - Shoreditch area to showcase film shorts. I was impressed with the venue and will be returning back.
My friends and I went here on a Wednesday to check out the cocktails. We were not disappointed. The staff have a real passion and intensity to make you a drink that you will enjoy. Be adventurous and you will enjoy -trustme!. Great staff, great drinks and great atmosphere: equals one really great bar. Thumbs up!
It's a cool little place, during the week it's not so packed,come weekend it does get crazy,cocktails and shooters being knocked down. A very popular bar on BricK Lane with a cool crowd to complement it .
Relaxing and friendly venue.
I recently attended an event called Indulge at Montys Bar & Lounge which was a mixture of Old School 88 upstairs and Funky House downstairs and with a choice of music made for an excellent night. The music, DJ's, and Venue combined to give us a great night of entertainment until 2am.
I will be going back.
If you're in the mood to sit and chat with your mates over half a dozen beers, then this is the place. Totally unpretentious. Monty's is a proper bar on Brick Lane. It serves good beer at reasonable prices and the bar staff always have a smile on their faces. This is my favourite bar in Shoreditch, has been since it opened. It's unique design, bit like a tardess - it's big inside - makes a great place to while the hours away any night of the week!
If you're looking for a bar with charm, warmth where you can mull over several pints with your mates then I can recommend nowhere better than Monty's.

I just love this place. My boyfriend took me here on our first date. I had never heard of Monty's. I was and still am impressed with the place. What a great place to take a date or someone you love. As soon as you walk in you'll know what I mean. I feel like I've stepped back in time. This place is must for anyone interested in great night out. You won't be disappointed!

I live on Brick Lane and I've only been here on Saturday nights. I know the doorman now. The scene is pretty cool.
My best suggestion is to get there around 8pm with a big group of friends as it gets very busy later. Since it's early the place is pretty much relaxed so there is no wait for drinks. I went up twice in about 5 minutes and ordered 8 drinks the first time and 16 the 2nd. Do that right before midnight and you'll be set for the next few hours. Just make sure to have a couch/table to hold all of them!
It's worth checking out for those have not been, but definitely in a big group who's ready to make some fun.

I like the fact that the place have very tough doors. It filters the unwanted elements out. In order to get inn - you have to look like you belong.
The music is always perfect and I always have fun there. If you wanna have a great time, Monty’s is the place to go in Brick Lane - Shoreditch..and anyone who says anything different is just bitter because they probably weren't let in! The atmosphere is great and you are almost guaranteed to see a celeb or two while you are there....so look your best.. you'll have a blast. If you're looking for a good time...head on over to Monty’s.

As a Londoner stuck in East London, I had nearly given up looking for cocktails, service and coolness comparable with that found in European capitals. Then I found Monty’s. Wow! what an amazing establishment. Right in the heart of Brick Lane’s night life. Exceedingly friendly staff and very cool hands on management, and excellent cocktails - Quite unlike the kids' juices with alcohol chucked in which pass for ‘cocktails' in this part of the world - my Mojito was fresh and not too sweet. Here is a rare bar in the East End.

I Went to this bar recently. I have to say Friday was jumping! Me and some friends went to Monty's for a drink after work with the intention of just having a few drinks then moving on to a club.We ended up forgetting about the club and danced the night away in Monty's! It was like I was transported back to the 80's with loads of my favourite tunes! Needless to say we had a great time and I would highly recommend it to anyone who's up for a good time and fancy cocktails.

Went here after hearing about it through various sources. I sat down at the bar, the barman presented me with the menu. Chose a drink and it was ready almost immediate. When it came to my 2nd and third drinks, I became excited at the further list of cocktails. On my 4th, I presented the barman with a 2 ingredients to do with what he saw fit. It end up as a Manhattan with a infusion of spiced rum and Amaretto. The decor and the atmosphere where probably on par with the drinks. The knowledge of the barmen was impressive. I would recommend this bar to anyone.

MONTY'S is by far the best Bar on Brick Lane. Was down there last weekend "Fantastik". I love their signature cocktails - Raspberry Mojito - - just amazing!!
Will be having my 30th birthday there.

Superb late night bar!!!!Great vibe! People with an attitude to the style of LAID BACK, CHILLIN and have some great cocktails!
Music- need a live DJ- but space is at a premium so stick him in the loo if you have too! 4.5/5
