This first floor dining room of the Millennium Knightsbridge is unusually large for a restaurant, even by five star standards, which might give an impression of starkness. The contemporary decor is stylish but not stuffy.

The Atmosphere
The clientele is those who come for exclusive themed evenings like cigar evenings, for which guests turn up in lively groups. The service is delightful and a swirl of ever obliging waiters ensures that you want for nothing.

The Food
The selling point of this restaurant is the fabulous food, which is consistently good. The constantly-changing menu is always adventurous and exciting. MU Restaurant and Lounge offers a nine course white truffle menu, with everything from starter to chocolate fondant dressed with pungent white truffle ice cream made of the not-easily-adaptable white truffles. The tasting menu is value for money and includes exotica like oysters dressed with passion fruit or carpaccio of wagyu beef with asparagus in Vietnamese broth.

The Drink
The expert sommelier chooses infallibly from the lengthy wine list with one of London’s finest collection of New World wines. The Aussie reds are especially impressive and the Chilean wines are good too.
