People forget that there has been a massibe Polish population in London since the war, then the early 80s political influx. This bar is well established.

The range of beers and vodkas is great, but they need to re-think the seating. It looks great (if you like designer minimal) but means there's little seating and people bump into each other/seated people.

Polski bar is situated down an alleyway of Dickensian cosiness near Holborn. The bar itself is oddly wedged shaped and spartanly decorated. Leather cubes for seats, some high stools and chrome tables. On the walls seems to be some kind of mural of Nando’s mascot the Cock of Barcelos. Am unsure of the Polish connection. Large glass windows giving a pleasing view of smokers huddled together, sheltered in the alley.

Anyway while generally people can be a bit touchy about the influx of all things Polish into the UK, even the most ardent Daily Mail reader would have to begrudgingly admit that Polski bar is a welcome addition. A vast selection of vodka, some 45 in all, coming in strange and wonderful flavours such as Bison Grass- what is Bison Grass? Apparently it’s a type of reed. I’d particularly recommend the Krunick which is honey like and delicious.

Slightly more manly are the selection of Polish beers. Although definitely ‘London Prices’ at £3.40 a pint. You can’t go wrong paying £3.80 for a 7% beer – even if it is what Polish tramps drink.

The dumplings are supposedly nice but we had small polish Cornish pasties whose name escapes. As they say in Poland Na Zdrowie.

Na Zdrowie - The Polish Bar is an uninspiring Euro style bar with plastic furniture, bottled Polish beers and possibly the rudest proprietor in the whole of London. There are much better places to eat and drink in this area. Na Zdrowie is best avoided.

Apart from the crazily small tables, Na Zdrowie is a great little place. Lots of vodka to test out and authentic Polish food. Na Zdrowie is a bit too ‘trendy’ for my liking so I tend to go mid-week when it’s less busy.

Na Zdrowie is a top notch place to go. Really great place. Very sexy guy tending bar, at least when I was there - slim but svelte and firm, long sideburns and tight shirt. Great organic vodka and Polish beer - better tasting than you can imagine. What you cannot imagine is the fabulous food coming out of the kitchen, cooked by a couple of beautiful, young Polish women. Melt in your mouth Perogies and fabulous salads for one thing.

After work this place is packed with singles. Lots of great burnished aluminum and great techno music. What are you waiting for? Here it all is ! I loved it! I went back several times in a very short trip to London. Come here often for the food, for the company, for the service, for the feeling!
