the place is still stuck in the slums. The Rudegirl door lady just lets in everyone...including obese girls and her Dizzee Rascal wannabe friends.
Go here for a night of R&B hiphop sweat and mixed with fat fighter rejects. Horrible place.

After reading review of this club, I was a bit worried about going there for a friend's birthday.

When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a nice looking venue with a clientele to be expected from a club of this type. While approaching the club and waiting to get in, many people pulled up in Range Rovers and other sports cars I haven't seen before.

Entrance was £20 which is pretty much the standard of all these type of clubs nowadays and didn't receive much hassle at the door considering I hadn't really made an effort (Jeans and Shirt).

Once we got in there was a long corridor and stairs leadong downstairs with a lounge kind of area on the ground floor with music playing at a low level, people mingling and going to the garden area for a smoke.

Proceeded downstirs to be greeted by some pretty commercial/ charty music. I requested the DJ play more House music and he did within 10 minutes. We were put on a promoters table where we were treated to two magnum bottles of vodka and a bottle of cristale at the end of the night.

I'm surprised by some of the other review here complaining about the standard of people at this place. No fights broke out and I mingled in the crowd quite easily without a problem or any pretenciousness as you usually find at this type of club.

We stayed there all night and left a bit after cosing time and there were no staff being too pushy trying to get us out. Even while waiting to get our jackets, people were still talking and I even got a girls number while waiting to get my jacket.

A decent night out in my opinion and will be coming here again. Definitely a place you can come to just meet some new people and dance to some decent music.

The worse experience of my life, I have been to many clubs in Central and have never experienced anything like it. A promoter which is also a friend arranged this venue. I was told to have a minimum of 15 people which I did for the guest-list. At first I approached the lady at the door to confirm we had arrived but was waiting for a few other people. She said it was fine and to wait by the side. Once everyone arrived I approached her again, she looked at my que and said we wasn't on the list. I was very confused I tried to talk but she kept talking over me and shouting say they didn't have capacity, etc. I was so upset as it was a b'day celebration and I had people make the effort and come from around London and out of London. When I called the promoter, he tried to find out what had happened. They said they didn't like look of our crowd. I was disgusted as everybody there were highly respected professionals, well dressed. The people going into the club looked 16, with fake tan and extensions. I couldn't believe the discrimination. However we went Mayfair in the end and had great time.

This is probably the worse 'members' club in London. Most people are now calling it No5 Chav-endish Square, because its cliental is disgusting, the food poor and over priced and the service from the staff bordering on disgraceful. Full of cheap young girls and wannabe gangster males, horrible atmosphere.

Anyone who says otherwise clearly works for the club or is a promotor of sorts to the nightclub. Its been gaining a reputation for a while as being a no-go area within London's club circuit.

no5 as a hotel was lovely, the food was great and the style was modern and nice, except for when the club opened at night, I have never seen or heard of such rude arrogant people in my life! It was disgusting how the bouncers on the door can be so rude and disrespectful when myself and a couple of friends have decided to go in for a couple of drinks! I think the attitude of the main ''head door man'' was shocking and disgusting! I would not recommend my friends and family to go to no5 and wouldn't myself, its such a shame how someone can put you of such a place. Horrible experience at the door and I don't think I would even return for the hotel!

I was at No 5 last night & had an awesome time with 2 girly mates & s guy friend. Read some of the bad reviews & had to defend No 5! If you want somewhere with decent cocktails, a good dj & enough space to dance, you could do a whole lot worse than No 5. Cocktails are incredible & I'm fussy about my cocktails - £12.50 is reasonable for Oxford Circus, esp given the quality. The dj played a mix of chart tunes & club, worked for me! Plenty of hot guys from the international set in the crowd but not sleazy, unlike certain other clubs (movida!) Yes, the girls are dressed like whores but so what? Does that really affect the enjoyment of your night? I was dressed in blue skinny jeans, biker boots & a jacket & they let me in for a tenner after 11 (the doorman initially asked for £20 but when my student friends ummed & aaahed over the cost, he reduced it to £10). So I certainly didn't experience any snobbery - lift man was v helpful, the bartenders attentive (one even gave me a free drink when another accidentally took my half-empty one away after I left it on the bar)& I don't think they're snobby about who they let in. I saw a really obese girl with a tragic face but she was dancing the night away & clearly didn't feel out of place! I'd def come back to No 5 on a Fri night after work. Given that I was initially supposed to go clubbing in Heaven but they were too snobby to let us in, I'm pretty happy with where we ended up :)

absolutely AWFUL! you'd think with how expensive it is you'd feel special once you're in there ? NO! £20 to get in... £10 glass of vodka, and full of trashy girls that are all wearing a Tshirt that's an excuse for a dress and cheap hair extensions. all WAG wannabes.
Staff are rude - they tell you where to go/stand/walk and breathe! Music wasn't anything special - I could've DJ'd better plugging my ipod in!
I'm all for west end clubs but there are much better places to spend your money than this pretentious dump! dont waste your time... seriously!

I went to the club at the venue last weekend and it was the worst experience I have ever had. Considering we had a table in the VIP lounge, we were moved from our table to another three times, only at the end to be told that as someone who turned up at the club paid £1000 for a table we had to share our table with someone else!

I found all the staff at the venue to be rude who lacked basic manners. The security was terrible, they pushed people around and when a physical fight broke out in the VIP lounge they refused to throw out the obvious instigator; my friend who had nothing to do with the fight was knocked down to the floor and hurt.

Most of the women there were dressed like they should be standing at street corners, had next to nothing on and often flashed bits that really should be kept away and strapped down. Taking into account this is a supposed 'exclusive club' I am surprised by the riff raff that is allowed in.

If you fancy a rough and pretentious night out with socially inept people do go to this place. A complete disgrace!
