Oktoberfest at Belgo puts a Belgian spin on the celebration of all things beer with a special food and beer matching menu, showcasing unique Belgium beers. Mussels with your pint, anyone?

Masters of beer
As well as having a dream job, Belgo’s Masters of Beer – an in-house team of beer experts – are looking to educate customers about the diversity and quality of the beer Belgium has to offer. Working with the chefs, they’ve come up with a menu for Oktoberfest at Belgo that incorporates beer into the food and matches it with a cool pint on the side. Even the desserts are cooked with beer. Doesn’t sound appealing? Now is the time to open your mind and explore what beer has to offer – there’s more to it than a pint of Stella at the pub, after all.

The beer menu
Every Wednesday throughout October, a three course Oktoberfest at Belgo meal with the matching beers is priced at just £33.00. Dishes include a Champagne, duck and truffle terrine starter, braised beef cooking in Faro beer served with Witcap Stimulo beer, and a pear poached in raspberry beer with a lemon sorbet and Floris Apple beer. Beer matches include everything from familiar blond beers to more unusual offerings such as Trappist ales.

Beer buckets
What’s that you say? A bucket of beer? Belgo will also be offering two buckets of Belgian beer for the duration of Oktoberfest at Belgo. Choose from a bucket or Floris Apple, Mongozo Banana, Floris Krierk and Floris Mango, or a bottle of Delirium Nocturnum, Delirium Tremmens, Floris Framboise and Floris Wit Blanche. Both buckets cost just £15.00 and are served on ice.

Oktoberfest at Belgo takes place throughout October 2010 at all of the Belgo restaurants. The three course menu is available every Wednesday and costs £33.00. Please quote Wednesday Night Pilgrimage when making your reservation.
