I hired the room upstairs for a birthday party recently, for £50, which included a member of staff behind the bar.

I thought this was great value - the staff were very friendly and amenable.

They were fine about me providing my own food and music (they have speakers, I brought my ipod), the room was cosy and just right size for a small intimate party of around 30 people.

I'd definitely recommend it and would use again for meetings or parties.

This is an unpretentious 'proper' pub, not many of these left.

The other guy was a little bitter methinks! Anyway, I work around the corner and love the Old Coffee House. Not bothered about the price of beer as it's not as expensive as the other bars and posher pubs in Soho. Plus the bonus is the food - wicked.

If you like proper English Grub then you will adore this the Old Coffee House. From pies to my personal favourite sausage toadies, yorkies with bangers, mash like big, round school-dollops and a plethora of peas floating in Bisto gravy.

What more could a person ask for and it is reasonably priced at £5.50 for the amount of food you get.

I used to work at the Old Coffee House. If you like overpriced beer, fully complimented by the awful service then this is your place to go!
